Why would there be complications regarding the fee, when he has a buy-out clause in his contract of €12m ? You meet the price and you activate the release clause.

I'm not starting anything, just questioning why you'd say it fell through due to the fee, without substantiating your statement. If you check one of my earlier posts, I was actually saying the Spanish window didn't open til today, so the deal wouldn't be going through as quickly as everyone else had hoped or predicted.

We haven’t done well, but if you look at other clubs’ websites many supporters are also squinnying about how their team needs a new centre back/creative midfielder/defensive midfielder/20 goal a season striker.
Unless it’s Liverpool or Man City (and even they’re probably moaning about getting a decent CB) many teams’ fans seem to think their club is fannying around. We are therefore not alone but replacing a world class player like VD or even just a solid international like Fonte isn’t always easy and these days it isn’t cheap. |  |
