Week 14 Results NEWCASTLE 2 BOURNEMOUTH 1 Newcastle have won back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since April, while this is also the first time they have scored more than once in a home league game this season. An impressive 9 got this spot-on, and a further 7 had the outcome SOUTHAMPTON 1 EVERTON 2 Southampton have lost four consecutive home league games at St Mary's for the very first time. Southampton have conceded 21 goals in their first six home Premier League games this season - the only top-flight side to concede more in their opening six are Blackpool in 1930-31. Everton ended a run of four consecutive away losses in the Premier League, with this their first win on the road in nine attempts. A magnificent 7 had this spot-on, and 2 more got the outcome. TOTTENHAM 1 SHEFFIELD UNITED 1 Spurs tally of 14 points is their lowest after 12 games to a Premier League season since 2008-09. Spurs have lost more points from winning positions than any other Premier League side this season (12). Sheffield United are unbeaten in 15 away league games, a run stretching back to January of last season, equalling their club record previously set in April 2009. 4 got this spot-on, and nobody had the outcome. 23 predicted a win for Spurs with 13 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score. HULL 0 WBA 1 Jake Livermore scored the winner against his former side as West Brom stretched their unbeaten run to six matches. Well done to noah4x4 for being the only one to get this spot-on, with another 14 having the outcome. QPR 2 MIDDLESBROUGH 2 Boro are now nine games without a win, but did manage to score for the first time in five games. Nobody got this spot-on, and only 2 had the outcome. 25 predicted a win for QPR. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 2 SWANSEA 2 Two injury time goals, one for each team, ensured a draw in this pulsating match at Hillsborough. Well done to Lewis_1 for being the only one to have this spot-on, and nobody got the outcome. A bit of a lopsided look to this weeks results with the Premier League games producing a very decent 20 spot-ons, and the Championship ones just the 2. The overall total of 22 was good for a six game week, but with only 34 outcomes, it made it difficult to get any sort of score without a 3 pointer. Someone who didn't have any problem getting a good score was Lewis_1 as he was the only one to get 3 spot-ons this week, the 2-1 wins for Newcastle and Everton to go with the good Sheff. Wed 2-2 pick, and one outcome, to make him the weeks top scorer with a brilliant 10 points. Best of those to get 2 spot-ons was oxfcolu, the Everton 2-1 and the Spurs 1-1, and three outcomes to give him a superb 9 points. Those same 2 spot-ons were also achieved by sevebalo to give him a decent 7 points. The other two members to get 2 spot-ons both had the Newcastle 2-1 and the Spurs 1-1. They were wessex_exile, on his way to an excellent 8 points, and Pinault_Noir to give him a very good 6 points. The latest tables for the first 8 games of the Happy Cup will appear on the Happy Cup thread later. In the Premier It is as you were at the top with Sector4, by having the Newcastle 2-1 spot-on, making sure the noah4x4 lead stayed at 18 points. The other Charity Shield place was cemented by sevebalo, who continued his good recent run with another decent score. The only change in this division saw the deadlock of the bottom four finally broken with TheFatGooner taking advantage of eagledares firing his first blank of the season. A no show from Colukev has made it more difficult for him to avoid the drop again. In Division One Having the Newcastle 2-1 spot-on made sure Blue4U2 stayed top. it is the weeks star performer Lewis_1 who is in the other automatic spot, after moving up four places. There is a change to the play-off places with ghughes11 confirming his comment that this is a tough round of fixtures to predict!!, by firing a blank. His place is taken by a back to form wessex_exile with his excellent week. The superb week for oxfcolu moved him up three places, and to within four points of the play-offs. At the bottom a welcome 3 pointer, the Everton 2-1, lifts Stupid_Gooner off that place. THE TABLES (100 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 15 Fixtures It is International break time again, so we have six games from our favourite League 2.
