Week 8 Results CHARLTON 1 LEEDS 0 A goal from ex-U's Macauley Bonne was enough to condemn Leeds to a first away defeat of the season. Well done to Lewis_1 and oxfcolu for being the only ones to predict this shock win, and they both got it spot-on. 22 predicted a win for Leeds with 9 going for a 2-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score. DERBY 3 BIRMINGHAM 2 Derby end their car-crash week with a victory, but only after Birmingham had come from 2-0 down to level and then miss a penalty. Nobody had this spot-on, but 17 did get the outcome. HUDDERSFIELD 1 MILLWALL 1 Huddersfield ended their seven-game losing run, but had to settle for a point as they were held to a draw by 10-man Millwall. 5 got this spot-on, and 2 more had the outcome. CHELTENHAM 1 CREWE 1 Ex-U's Chris Porter's fourth League goal of the season secured a draw for 10-man Crewe. A good 6 had this spot-on, and another 1 got the outcome. SALFORD 0 FOREST GREEN 4 Salford's disappointing start to life in League Two continued as they were thrashed by an impressive Forest Green. Nobody got this spot-on, though 17 did have the outcome. SCUNTHORPE 1 BRADFORD CITY 1 Scunthorpe survived playing 81 minutes with 10 men to get a draw. A decent 7 had this spot-on, and 1 more got the outcome. A tough set of fixtures like this don't normally deliver the draws expected from them, but this week they did, with three games ending 1-1. In fact it was the main route to a 3 pointer, with those games producing 18 of the 20 spot-ons, and only the shock win for Charlton getting the other 2. The 1-1 draw has given RSCOSWORTH a lot of success in the past, and by predicting that score for the final five fixtures, it proved successful again, and he this weeks top scorer with an excellent 9 points. There were three other members to benefit from this score to give them two 3 pointers. They were burnsieespana, who had the ones for Huddersfield and Cheltenham, and Stupid_Gooner, who got the Huddersfield and Scunthorpe ones. They both got two outcomes to give them a very decent 8 points. The other was Colukev who had the Cheltenham and Scunthorpe ones to give him a very good 6 points. In the Premier Last weeks top two were not done any favours with those games ending in draws, and they had to rely on outcomes from the other three fixtures. Not much damage done though for noah4x4 as his lead is reduced by only a point by Sector4 who reclaims the second spot thanks to having the Scunthorpe 1-1 spot-on. A single outcome was enough for mfb_cufc to cling onto the final Charity Shield spot. After spending the early weeks in the relegation zone, RSCOSWORTH continued the improvement, with his top scoring effort moving him up three places, and within a point of the third place he has finished for the last two seasons. By getting 3 points for the Scunthorpe 1-1 Tropical_Us also moved up three places. At the bottom Colukev showed the sort of form required to avoid the drop. In Division One A very good 6 points, that included having the Cheltenham 1-1 spot-on, has given Blue4U2 a 4 point lead, after relying on the most 3 pointer rule last week. Up into the other automatic place is BFG, thanks to getting the Huddersfield 1-1 spot-on. Newbie GOSBTS has been improving week on week, and having the Cheltenham 1-1 spot-on to give him a very good 6 points, moves him up another three places into third. Getting that good Charlton 1-0 spot-on enabled Lewis_1 to remain fourth. After just the one outcome Daniel has to settle for a play-off spot this week. Reclaiming the final play-off place is blueeagle, who was another to benefit from having the Scunthorpe 1-1 spot-on. The two star performers in this League occupied the bottom two places last week, but season best scores for both moved burnsieespana up five places, and Stupid_Gooner up three. Even though there are 13 weeks to go before we know the qualifiers for the Champions League, here is a first look to how qualifying is going. The qualifiers will be the 11 top scorers over the two divisions after Week 21, plus BFG qualifying as holder. The member currently occupying that final 11th place is Tropical_Us with his 34 points, but only on the first to post rule. But with a majority of members within 7 points of that total, those places are very much up for grabs.
