"Interim internal financial restrictions"

An over complicated way of saying CASH FLOW, or more precisely the lack of it!

on that note the gigglers really are deluded....

One comment from Beardy....

After tonight 2000 x £20 = £40k that will help short term......

erm..... obviously no season ticket holders going then!!

40k won't cover a week's wages never mind a month's worth.

and no recognition that 20% goes to the VAT man....but they got away with that before :)

They couldn't take card payments last weekend and the same tonight. Can't or won't. Cash payments helps you avoid paying back some of your overdraft through auto bank credits. If you have had your overdraft called in the last thing you do is take card or electronic payments. Players to be paid in brown envelopes tomorrow ?

Really is about time that clubs started being docked points for this type of thing.

3 home games in April
1 home game in May

Wages to pay for March (allegedly), April, May and June.

bury are though safely past the fourth Thursday in March, so any 12 point penalty would only apply next season.

It might be cash only for a while yet!

1-3,0-3 consecutive home defeats. Not looking good for the bucket shakers.

Interesting that since buckets players haven't been paid, they've lost two games at home. Well done them, industrial action at its best

The time as come for more money to filter down from FA to help lower division clubs (Dale need some as well!)it fast becoming vertually impossible to financially run a small club.In a few years time nearly all small clubs that still exist will be part time only.

There's no problem if you accept that you're a "small" club.
Some clubs see themselves as "big" though and can't accept that they're not and want to splash the cash accordingly.
If I was in charge at the EFL I'd make directors sign big contracts and be made to act as guarantors for the terms within those agreements even if they had left the club subsequently.

It's where some supporters scream lack of ambition when players such as cannon are sold the reality is it has to happen in order to stay afloat.

Every one of us has to work to a budget. We all know the consequences of spending beyond our means and the likely repercussions.

Directors have an absolute duty to the (any) club to ensure that the club/business stays solvent wherever possible. If they were made personally liable for the losses , where those losses were incurred recklessly, we might see less of it.

Wage caps should apply (maximum salary) for each club within the division, whether that be at Sunderland or Accrington, and the salary should be set at an affordable level, the maximum being based on an average of all the clubs within that division.

The way the football authorities consistently fail to react and constantly turn a blind eye to this nonsense brings them into disrepute. Using a points deduction is a cop-out. If they had proper regulations in place and actually enforced them, it should never get to that, save for the most exceptional circumstances, rather than simple pi$$-taking and flagrant breach of the rules.

“It is easier to fool people, than to convince them that they have been fooled”

At least the directors at one of Bury's neighbours can afford to act as guarantors.

"Salford City Football Club’s unaudited accounts suggest the club lost £32,000 a week in 2017/18 in being promoted from National League North, reveals Kieran Maguire of the PriceofFootball.

The club is reliant on Class of 92 and other owners as club owes over £2.4 million to rest of the group. Salford City Football Club parent company Project 92 Ltd itself owes £2.4 million to directors/shareholders interest free".

That was before they got into the Conference and really started spending money.....
