6th can't be described as a long shot. I fancy us the most likely to win our two games. A good puncher's chance?

One can dream but I can't see Southend dropping 3 points against Bury and Shrewsbury.

My concern is the Oldham game..theyve had good results recently against Bolton and Fleetwood..if we can win then its all down to Bradford..i just hope we go to Oldham with some ambition ..it doesnt matter if we get beaten..just throw caution to the wind!!..nothing to lose

Shrews is away for southend so they could slip up there....

And bury have the finest league 1 squad in all of time!! Bury will win that one at a canter!

Let's just beat an inform Oldham side and take it to matchday 46!!!

Sky are showing an as yet unconfirmed League One match on the final day.

The way I see it, there are two clear possibilities for TV coverage:
Southend v Bury
Fleetwood v Port Vale

However, should Southend and Millwall slip up again and we beat Oldham (long shot), we'd be in the mix for TV coverage. Which doesn't bode well with our recent history...

Tell the players it's the FA Cup and it's being shown in Russia and the USA.. that does the job.

Presuming they are waiting until after the games next Saturday I would think first option would be the Bolton game unless they have already secured promotion by next weekend, which is very possible especially if they win tonight.

Once/if that has settled the way the table looks at present the Southend v Bury game looks the favourite to me as it has permutations for the the playoff race and relegation.

The only two scenarios that I can see Dale having a sniff at getting on TV is if the relegation and auto spots are realistically settled and they show the team in 6th place (where we would need to be) or if Bradford lose this weekend and all three of us, Millwall and Southend win. Then we become an option as both us and Bradford would be looking to get in the playoffs.

I don't like doing the woulda/shoulda/coulda scenarios but of all the last gasp calamities this season then it could be the one at Roots Hall that proves to be costliest. If we'd hung on to a point there then we'd be above Sarfend right now with the pressure firmly on Millwall. It will take a lot of things to go our way to sneak into the playoffs but regardless, Dale are firmly on the up.

Difficult to put it down to one game, more like the 10 we went without a win and the 6 we started with. After those runs it's been an amazing season.

I couldn't see Southend losing at home to Mk Dons.

#anythingispossible

The worst thing would be Southend and Millwall slipping up and is not winning our 2 games.

On the other hand, we picked up two extra points in added time at Millwall.

In 44 games Oldham have only scored 30 goals. Sure, they`ve only conceded a goal a game too,but this is Dale`s last chance to get in the top six,so no good mucking about,a draw or a loss are clearly not an option. Let`s see if these blokes are really up to it,I hope so.

http://www.twtd.co.uk/league-tables/competition:league-one/form/matches:20/type:

11 home games, lost 1, conceded 6, scored 14. Basically, the 4th best home form in the league since his return.

See you Saturday.

Its a very impressive run of results against most of the top sides..i feel sat will be high scoring..we may as well get beat by 5 as by 1 it makes no difference..i cant see Dale scoring and then trying to hold on..we are hopeless at that..esp come the 88th minute..so expect caution to the wind and some comedy defending

Oldham rarely score more than one goal - they have scored the fewest number of goals in the division. We need to work at putting at least three past them as soon as we can!

Three?

You have averaged 1 away goal per game this year.

We have conceded on average 0.6 goals per game this year at home.

Got 0-0 written all over it.

'Average' means sometimes above and sometimes below.

I was thinking more in the region of 1-1.

More ifs...

If Bradford win on Saturday, they could be resting players when they play us, ahead of the play offs...

Bradford just need a point at the weekend I think (to guarantee a play off place).
