there was a rumour earlier in the season that the new deal he signed had a get out clause if we were in the bottom 3 in January.

I'd like to believe if he leaves in Jan it would stop me renewing my ST Unfortunately it won't

Good on you Selling Gylfi would almost be like letting the players run out with a white flag prior to the remaining games this season I'd be gutted
Gylfi Sigggg on 18:33 - Dec 18 with 3848 views | monmouth | If there is no clause we should tell them all to naff off, and come back in May. We won't though. Having said that, don't beat West Ham and Bournemouth, we are probably done anyway, so might as well start building for next year which won't include him. It says it all that none of our other players would be near the top of anyone's list to buy. Relegation specialist Fer apart of course, he'll go somewhere to take them down for number four. We are a bloody state.

Yep, same here. I'll renew because I love a live game, enjoy the anticipation before and get a buzz every time I walk up the steps from the concourse into the ground - each time it's like seeing it for the first time. The vibrant green of the pitch with the contrasting shadows of the stands - accentuated at this time of year with the floodlights on. Magic. But, if/when Siggy goes it will be a sad day. Our only outfield player of any quality left. It's almost inevitable on the course we're steering for ourselves. But it could be avoided if the idiots in charge acted, but I doubt they will. They probably think the "indomitable American spirit" will see us right. I think they're in for a bit of a shock.
Gylfi Sigggg on 18:41 - Dec 18 with 3764 views | Swanjaxs | Hand on heart I think everyone was suprised when Gylfi signed an extension after the Euros, anybody with half a brain could see that selling Ayew and Williams without adequate like for likes coming in was asking for trouble, perhaps Siggy signed to show his commitment to the cause? He's been let down just like the rest of us, if he doe's go then who can blame him? As for the potential transfer fee going towards team strengthening. .. nah don't think so

Gylfi Sigggg on 18:42 - Dec 18 with 3754 views | jackportis | Will sell for 25 mill and buy someone naff to "give everyone a lift" for 4 to 5 million. The agent vultures will start swooping down at club like road kill. It's a lovely return to owners spend 100 mill get 25% back quickly.. good business. Absolute joke.

Excellent summary Leon ..... I said in a thread a few weeks back the Swans is like a drug I sometimes wish I could give it up but I never will. Sincil Bank, The Shay, Brisbane Rd, Old Trafford, Anfield or the Emirates the buzz of watching the Swans always gets me. Plus I probably enjoyed watching the Swans at the 1st 3 more than the last.

I got the bug after moving here in 2005; only going occasionally for the first couple of years, but then got sucked in completely because it was such a unique club back then. Having always supported my local club wherever I've live, I've seen enough of other clubs (e.g. Wrexham, Chester, Aberystwyth, Cheltenham) to know that last 11-12 years have been truly special - not many clubs go on a journey like we've been on. It started to die when Laudrup was sacked imo (actually, we started to lose our identity before Christmas with Laudrup - that's when we began to not dominate possession, but our quality players carried us through). I'll go as long as I live in Swansea, the league does't matter to me. But it's really sad to see what's happened to us. We used to be something special, even in L1 and the Championship. Now we're the same as any other team. We're the next Fulham / Charlton. It was always coming. I just hope that the owners can swallow their pride and do something positive to try and save our PL status.

"I'll go as long as I live in Swansea " .... good for you that you follow the team where you preside in at that particular time.. but what would happen if you moved to Cardiff 😯😯😯😯 Don't ever do it!!! ☺☺☺ [Post edited 18 Dec 2016 19:10]

Gylfi Sigggg on 19:22 - Dec 18 with 3479 views | Tummer_from_Texas | He didn't suddenly become anxious for Europa/Champions League and/or suddenly realize Swansea City probably wasn't going to get there soon in the 6 months since signing a new 4 year deal. That's ridiculous.

We know what'll be said by Jenkins we don't keep players here that don't want to be here and that'll be their out and another 20 mill hidden away.
