Waited for hours on a Saturday for an oil Baron to arrive off his delayed flight.

In the meantime had a look round his yard.

Never seen a two door Rolls before.

He had one.

Massive car with 2 doors.

Pure opulence.

He had a 4 door one as well.

More point to that.

Sat in them both and tipped the drivers to start them up and have a look round.

I dont think they were driven much but were there to look good on the drive.

He is, and don't call him Shirley.

The OP really doesn't get this whole Capitalism malarkey. As if those in the Roller market is troubled by austerity, or even British these days- for the most part.

They're still the benchmark automobile to my mind, Neil. Like I said earlier in the thread if I could, I would. I wouldn't think twice.

The reality of austerity uk is that those who could already afford a rolls Royce can now afford another one at the expense of those least able to afford one.

Played rugby a few times against rolls Royce in derby, always a,good night out afterwards.

I had a ride in Demis Roussos's Roller many years ago. It was white and he wasn't in it. Obviously.

About 1965, there was a bloke fishing on the Cothi. His car? An Aston Martin DB5 estate car.

2 door Rolls or Aston Martin estate, just ask HJ Mulliner.
