It's no doubt been said many times, but fugg knows why it took FG until the 60th minute to make the most obvious of changes to the team. Why wait until the clock turned exactly 60:00 anyway, is he superstitious? We had to endure the team playing like a bunch of ineffective quims for 15 minutes while he waited until the allotted 'hour mark' to make the change. If we'd done it at half time we'd probably have won that game.
Quite why he persists in playing Cork and Leon in the same team baffles me - we end up far too narrow, lop-sided and crippled as an attacking force.
You can make an argument for it in terms of making us hard to beat during the dark days of January/Feb, but today? FFS.
FG - you're fulfilling your brief, no doubt. But by f*ck you're hard to like!
PS - I am happy with today's point btw (this is me happy..). But we don't half make it hard for ourselves. Will we FINALLY see a Swansea team against Chelsea that makes best use of the assets at our disposal? or do we need to wait until the 60th minute in every game? |  |
