Trying to be positive about tonight's game isn't easy. It followed the pattern of the Chester and Macclesfield friendly's really, a lot of running around but no real end product. It was a misleading scoreline because Accrington should have bagged 3 or 4 and at no stage did we really put the Accrington defence under pressure. We tended to treat the ball like a hot potato and inevitably gave the ball away in the final third.

I really like Andy Cannon but the number of times he ran down a blind alley, overplayed and then lost the ball was something that needs to be highlighted. Bunney ran his heart out but doesn't look to be capable of taking the next step, he was pushed around tonight by robust defenders and came off second best, it's becoming a bad habit and I think Hillys patience is wearing thin. Vincentii and Henderson never really got into the game. Lillis would have walked in the first half for handling outside the area when the forward was clean through, he didn't have any other option really after a poor header from Allen left him high and dry.

On the positive side Big Jim looked more composed,i thought he was our best player. Tannser did ok and Lancashire looked a bit more switched on. Eastham got some more minutes under his belt, that will have done him good.

I think some players succeeded in playing themselves out of Hillys plans tonight, he wants to see progression and good decision making and one or two didn't display that. I know it's only a friendly but I think Hilly will come away with more negatives than positives from tonight's exercise, the complete opposite of Saturday's display.

Accringtons pitch was poor and Coleman still has a face only a mother could love. I didn't really enjoy tonight.

Wtf so you cant have an opinion now you cockwomble???? FFS some mongs on here can keep their fecking heads in the sand.

Your opinions are consistently utterly ridiculous to the point where I am now convinced you're a Bury supporter.

I just took my head out of the sand for a second and noticed that we had our highest ever league finish last season. I think I'll stick it back in now.

Yesterday showed that Accrington will struggle this coming season making 10-12 subs and they only scored from a deflection so not worrying it shows how bonded our side is only making just 2 subs the referee was worst than Kettle lost track how many times he blew his whistle if that was a proper match he'd of been marked down for this even demoted to Conference or lower Football to Referee, Accrington had a few decent players but not as good as some of Flyde's prospects

Well that's their opinion if you have to make 10-12 subs in a pre-season this close to the season it suggests the season isn't looking very well for that team

I'm trying to figure out how making 10-12 subs in a friendly will impact on Accy's season.

Each club plans their pre-season as they like it. Blackburn did 10 subs against us for example.

Coleman may have wanted to give his second string a run out, his youth team a run out, a mixture of old/young players. None of that will impact on their season.

Same as Dale playing a mixture of players against Hudds, and when subbing bringing on youngster only.

They beat pretty much our expected starting line-up yet you predict doom for them.
