But who would you pick up from the "relegation" teams? Sunderland... none Cardiff... Marshall have a pair of hands that have kept Cardiff in the race, Caulker, maybe Noone, Mutch. Fulham... Hangeland if he was 5 years younger Norwich... Redmond WBA... Mulumbu, Sessegnon, maybe Sinclair Palace... no thanks [Post edited 7 Apr 2014 22:44]

Martin Jol is in line to be our next manager (is an example of how things can be disastrous).

I feel that our first team (plus an extra 3-4 players) are as good as, if not better than, anyone else outside the top 7. I know the Europa League didn't help, but the fact that we are struggling with these players must be a management issue (both managers). Either they haven't been able to get the best performance out of the players or their tactics have been wrong.

Injuries haven't helped, although there is a school of thought to suggest (cue Waynekerr ;)) that a lot of the injuries we have and continue to suffer could be avoidable with a better training regime. But yeah, no side containing the likes of Bony, Dyer, Routledge, Hernandez, Williams, Chico and the like should be anwhere near the relegation zone, let alone uncertain of survival with just five games left. Dress it up how you like, but that's not a dazzling testament to the management this season.

There have been fundamental errors made at Director/Managerial/Coaching/Player levels all season! We have too many 'on their day' type players, not enough of them actually believe in what the club is and what it means. For me the greatest challenge now is that there appears to be not one decision maker at the club( I include the Trust in that) even beginning to talk about 'ok we have achieved the dream but where do we go next'

I'd take Marshall in a blink, he's been great and without him Cardiff would have been relegated long ago, like last September!! :D

Remember the optimism we started the season with The Europa of course but the key injury toll was dreadful - how can not having up to 6 first pick players including both Bony and Michu during one period make less that a massive impact on any team, let alone ours. It is impossible to tell if we would otherwise have reached the massive potential there to be unlocked with a firing Bony and a fully fit Michu. Anything was possible. Bony whilst brilliantly talented and excellent defensively, his forward style did not fit naturally into the team (hence many thought he was initially crap). So took a little while to be properly integrated and adapt a much more mobile style of play. I suppose whilst we have some fantastic talent - some always have had excellent and quiet runs (form/formation/opposition?). Others where brilliant skills are weighed against lesser ability in other areas shooting / tackling / decision making / pace. That is the nature of our team (otherwise such talent would be at much higher clubs). Whilst we are blessed with this quality and the nature of their play; their variability in form and strengths places an even higher burden on any manager, who has to be pretty visionary to roll the tactics / players dice in perfect harmony for any given opposition team. Suppose that is the joy of managing - but when that happens we are lucky to witness something very special. I hope we can retain this talent.

Derland (they've banned The Sun you see?) - Alonso - impresses me most times I see him Fulham- Stockdale Cardiff - Marshall (I'd pay upto £8m for him, he's mint). Matthias Moueller-Light Yoghurt Daily Mirror - cracking young 'un. Maybe Caulker too. WBA - Berainho - cracking prospect, Mulumbu - decent squad player Palace - Speroni - reliable old sod. Nathanial Clyne - good RB. Jonathon Williams (would fit us perfectly), Jedinak - consistent. Maybe Murray aswell - like him. Norwich - Redmond- yep, maybe Snodgrass.
