Great result against a horrible team.. 17:26 - Feb 15 with 7215 viewsMoonyDale

Quality strike from Hogan and a slow motion shot from Hendo saw off what can only be described as a disgusting set of footballers ( and I use that term loosely) Horrible tactics and harrying of an already inept official. An official who only started reffing the game after the real referee was subbed off in the second half. Is Coleman in charge of their side ? Looked like it for most of the game...They should be sent back to non league quickly as they do our game no service at all....Thought all the lads put a shift in today in bad conditions and deserve a hell of a lot of credit for the performance....Onwards and upwards lads.....

Poll: Hill in or out? 2nd referendum.....

Talk about missing the point.

Jesus, they've missed it by a country mile! Spectacularly!

These ex non-league clubs are often very similar. Agricultural football supported by Baldricks.

Flares, silly hats, face painting, drums, Ultras - all gimmicks which mean jack shit, but to the likes of Morecambe and Accy are vital ingredients!

Boston were the same too, and Macc to an extent. But when the likes of Hereford, Torquay etc came back, they didn't bring non-league culture with them!

I hope they understand the point as I'm struggling to make it any clearer!

There were 4 Morecambe fans at the sandy lane end at half time. They were according to the stewards the ones responsible for the flare, and they all shopped at HooligansRUs in their matching Stone Island outfits tho they looked about as tough as The Sun junior crossword.

It didn't look to me as though they identified who lit the flare after their goal. I saw the stewards remove it, then they waited as if the control room were looking at CCTV, but they then seemed to go.

Ready to get shot down for this but I like Ellison. Generally seems an honest player to me. Not rolling around like Threlfall did to get Lund booked. A pantomime villain.

Ellison is a horrible tw@t. End of.

Agreed. One those players who enjoys winding opposition fans up, takes as much as he gives.

Was ranting left right and charlie in the boozer post-match about the most hideous, odious, dirty, cheating bunch of *&^%s that have ever played football. And their lily-livered obsequious ref who was their best player by a mile. that everyone else agreed with me, and the message board feels the same speaks volumes. The "Your just a team full of w@nkers" chant from The Sandy was never more appropriate.

That Ellison appeared to pick up and simulate man love with Redshaw after their goal sums up what the night ahead holds for them. And their ref.

We won. A triumph of good over evil.

We had to grind that out today so full marks to the team for digging in when they had to.

Putting Morecambes antics to one side, i thought the players put a great shift in today, the weather conditions also didnt help matters.

Matty Done stood out for me and as the season progresses he his becoming more influential. Scott Hogan also gave his all and his goal was quality.

I thought a few times the defence gave themselves problems by overplaying at the back instead of clearing the ball, a couple of times Eastham was nearly caught in possession and wasnt aware of the forwards around him.

Keeping Hogan until the end of the season gives us a great chance of at least achieving a play off place and every goal he scores just ups his value and improves Scotts chances of moving to a big club. Things are looking good.

Tbf, one of them has got there in the end!

"They haven't even said that they are a big club? Am I missing something here? Most of them are irritated at the way we played the game and the conduct of players/fans/management.

Not one of them have claimed they are a huge club. I don't understand where some of the comments in this thread have come from? Making us look like idiots."

I always smile at the reactions of other fans who base their opinions of a post on who the poster supports, rather than the contents of the post.

It's the embodiment of what it's like to be thick! A number of Morecambe fans are thick!

There's certainly a few you couldn't accuse of being wise. (Ernie)

Anyone who thinks we regard ourselves as a big club either hasn't been following football for the past 105 years or has suffered brain damage from orange smoke inhalation

The number of people who have mentioned Coleman today says it all. Every comment about Morecambe is a comment about how we were rather than an out and out damning of Morecambe.

I'll say, although it's interesting that the number who aren't happy with their tactics and ethics has now almost equalled those who were.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

I don't see the point in referees having assessors though if the same bad referees are just going to stay in our division. You would think there would come a point where a referee gets so many bad marks from the assessor that the referee drops in to non league but it doesn't seem to be happening and they keep coming back to us.

Great result against a horrible team.

Loads of my thoughts already covered.

Ellison a Pantomime villan and a VERY good league 2 forward. Knows his place doesnt take himself that serious but is a seriously handy player. At one point one I would have liked at Dale.

The difference is our number 11 is better than there number 11!!.

I thought Redshaw was there best player and fair play for his " Tweet " he gives plenty but takes plenty too in the right way.

Morecambe looked poor and off the pace all game and we stuck to our guns and won in the end quite comfortable.

The best performace of the day is a close call - Done, Hendo - Lund - O connell for me but i just give MOM to the ground team who got the game on!! - amazing effort the pitch was a picture considering the deluge.

Up the Dale - 53 points and another home game on Tuesday to look forward too against a promotion contender.

Bring it on!!
