League One's furthest trips Monday, 26th May 2014 16:55 by Col With Fleetwood taking the last vacant place in League One for next season, we've got the A-Z out and worked out the mileage we're going to face next season with a trip to Gillingham being our longest trip.
As expected, Oldham will be the closest game and that will be the closest game between any two sides in League One next season such is the proximity between the two towns.

Even with a Southern based league it mounts up to 7264 for me (hartlepool and carlisle 700 miles between 'em 1 way) and thats without 500 mile round trips for home games!! I reckon you chaps need to get a sense of perspective ;)

Its worse than that. Once you've travelled the 8000 miles to get there its an average £3 more per game to get in. Insult to injury, the further you go the more it costs once you get there - Plymouth £24, Charlton £25 and Brighton £23 admission. This must be whats known as the price of success

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Bristol Rovers Polls |
