| Forum Thread | Another book question... at 08:00 29 Aug 2014
I'm starting to de clutter big time - all my music is on MP3, all my recent book purchases are on Kindle and I'm now trying to get rid of my books..... Apart from the obvious classics.....which books can you not bear to part with. It's seems to me that it's books that I read from my early teens to my twenties that I can't bear to be parted from.....All my Agatha Christies, Ian Flemmings, Gormengahst, JP Donleavy.....not great books, but obviously part of my formative years. Which non classics are your shelves which you wouldn't consider chucking, although you may never read them again. |
| Forum Thread | Anybody out in Mumbles last Saturday, please read and spread the word..... at 07:23 15 Jul 2014
URGENT HELP NEEDED - PLEASE SHARE THIS with any of your friends who live in the MUMBLES and surrounding areas, or anyone you know who may have been in Mumbles on Saturday night or since! Margaret Thrush, known and loved by us all, has lost a precious medal on Saturday night whilst collecting for charity, as she always does, around the Mumbles pubs. It is a pin-on gold badge which will have "MacMillan" on it, (MacMillan Cancer Charity) which was presented to her as an achievement award for many, many years of selflessly collecting money for the charity. Margaret is almost inconsolable, and we are so hoping that someone may have come across it. Please spread the word and help this wonderful lady retrieve this wonderful gift which she worked so hard for. Please comment or inbox me if you have any news.Thank you all in advance. |

Has anyone seen it, out of the same stable as The Tudors apparently....both times I've seen it the wrong side of a bottle of wine and I can't make head nor tail of it. I have come to the conclusion that it's a pile of w**k, but IMDB gives it a five star rating. Am I missing something? |
| Forum Thread | techie help required Iphone/ICloud/Amazon Cloud.......confused at 13:45 19 May 2014
I have an Iphone and an Ipod....I put all my music onto my laptop and it was synched to my Iphone - great. Then my laptop died so I started using another old laptop belonging to my late father in law which also has an Itunes library with some of his stuff in. Subsequently I also put some stuff in his Itunes library, which is now not on my Ipod. I also have a kindle which has all the music I have ever purchased from Amazon downloaded on to it via the Amazon Cloud, plus some stuff that I've copied over from my old laptop. I have no music on my Iphone at all (except some stuff that I think I stole from my husbands Icloud ) I now appear to have different music everywhere...although some of it might be duplicated, some might be unique to one particular device. Is there a way of copying from one device to another without overwriting stuff that might already be there (I have a feeling that if I Sync between the devices I might lose stuff). I possibly need a spreadsheet and a Project Manager, but any advice would be useful. I started out just wanting to customise my Iphone ringtone, then became embroiled in this whole quagmire of technology... |

| Forum Thread | eynons/swansea pies at 09:01 7 Jan 2014
Noticed these on another thread - can now be found in Davies' the bakers (certainly in the Mumbles one) under the name of 'Swansea pie' ! According to my recollection they taste the same as the old 'eynons pie'. |
