Online Ticketing Issues
at 07:59 9 Nov 2024

This issue is still happening today. When I go to the "My Card" section, it says "No Events Found." It's really frustrating because I finish work at 2:30 and rush over to the ground so I usually miss the first 5 minutes of the game as it is. Now, I’ll miss even more of the match since I have to go to the ticket office to buy my ticket. This will be the third home match I've attended this season, and each time I’ve tried to buy a ticket on the website with my discount card, it’s been a stressful ordeal

Big Jim's contract extension?
at 14:00 26 Jul 2024

I opted not to get a season ticket this year and a big reason for that was the football that was served up last season. The way we play is so negative and boring to watch. With the excpetion of Cian Hayes who had the ability to get you off your seat the majorty of games were a complete borefest. Fair enough the results were an improvement on what's been on offer in previous seasons but the entertainment certainly wasn't. I do feel like it's a mistake offering Jim a new contract but I would love to be proven wrong

Changes to the National League for next season
at 17:54 1 May 2024

Following a recent Written Resolution and two surveys, The Vanarama National League have confirmed the following changes to the 2024/25 season.

Substitutions

“A Club at its discretion may use five substitute Players at any time in a match. Substitution can only be made when play is stopped for any reason and the Referee has given permission.

A maximum of (seven) substitutes may be nominated and they must be included on the official Team Sheet handed to the Referee before the match”.

Christmas and Easter fixture schedules

“Historically, the Christmas and New Year schedules are reversed, in that the Boxing Day Fixtures are reversed with New Year Day fixture, therefore playing the same team in a close timeframe.

After surveying all clubs, the Board agreed that the League will reverse next seasons Boxing Day fixtures with Good Friday and New Year with Easter Monday”.

Andy Holt on twitter confirming the EFL weren't consulted at all. It's a disgrace, but it's hardly surprising. Pandering to the big boys

Saturday the 10th of Febuary appears to be a free date for both teams. I assume that's an FA Trophy weekend so it would be ideal if we could play the game on that date

Louie Mould-gone
at 18:24 16 Jan 2024

Moulden was interviewed on BBC Radio Northampton about an hour ago. He said that the idea was pitched to him last week and he saw it as a good opportunity for himself to develop. He did say that he had an emotional connection with the fans at Rochdale and the manager and the players so it was a tough decision but he felt it was the right move for him so I don't think there's much we could've done

Could it have been something to do with the fact that Uchegbulam had his tracksuit on whereas Sinclair still had his kit on? I think subs are required to put a bib on or wear a tracksuit over the kit, I don't know if that's a rule the refs can enforce, I'm just speculating

The Halifax groundsman posted a picture of the pitch this afternoon on Facebook with the caption totally playable, no standing water. A tad wet in areas. We'll see what it's like tomorrow after more rain

I was just going by memory so after finding the interview again he says wrongly diagnosed at Rochdale so I’ll change the wording of my original post to reflect that

In regards to Tahvon I was listening to an interview with Wealdstone player Max Kretzschmar who talked about Tavhon. He said that whilst at Rochdale he broke a bone in his foot which wasn't correctly diagnosed at Rochdale. He got back into training with his foot and ankle still hurting and not properly sorted and he ended up losing a lot of confidence. He thinks that going to Wealdstone who are part time may help his foot recover and I don't think we'll be seeing him back at Rochdale again

National league play offs
at 17:46 13 May 2023

Chesterfield currently 2-1 up against Notts County in the final. Just one half of extra time to go. I don't think anyone is expecting us to challenge for promotion but if this result stands then it's only play offs to play for as County will finish 1st with no Wrexham in the league

The fact Gateshead even stayed up this season was incredible. Over the summer they lost their two strikers, Macaulay Langstaff and Cedwyn Scott both to Notts county. They were the favourites for the drop this season but in the end they stayed up comfortably

I was wondering what happened to Clive Mayo-Modise and it says on his wikipedia that whilst at Rochdale he attracted a number of clubs in the higher leagues including Liverpool and Bolton. I don't remember him being quite that good! The clubs he played for after us are Bidvest Wits in South Africa, Mossley, Altrincham, Ashton United
