Gutted to hear this news, worked with Gwil for the past 4 years, and he was a legend. We got on like a house on fire. The swans obviously dominated conversation but there was so much more with Gwil. Will miss his rants and his words of wisdom. I know you've been through hell this past year or so but I was always hopeful you would be back bending my year about those 'fecking yanks' RIP mate you will be missed by all who knew you. |

It was always a ridiculous idea and there is no evidence that it was sustainable. After the first two seasons crowd demand wasn't as high and season tickets became available. 5000 extra seats for £15m just so a few plastics could go and a few more kids? Really. We didn't even sell out cup games including Europe. The demand isn't there. Anyone who thinks we had 15million spare to build a vanity project is in dream land. Our wage bill was massive and as a result our transfer business went downhill. If you want legacy look at Landore and Fairwood. Look at The academy and how it's gone from one of the worst in the UK to one of the best. |

Strange that, I've heard some improve with confidence as well as experience |

Yeah because spending tens of millions on an extension we wouldn't fill just so Wales could play there would be a great help for the club |

Sad thing is he would be worth 50 million plus today after only a few games. Couldn't stop the lad going but definitely went for too little |

Let's be honest since Jenkins left it's hard to find too much fault with the way the club has been run. However I've no idea why the Americans would get praise for the appointment of the manager. |

So PL clubs who let young players go on loan don't rate the player? |
| Forum Reply | Sam Surridge at 20:12 5 Aug 2019
Yeah ok he's a league two striker who is highly rated by a premier League manager and fans. |
| Forum Reply | Sam Surridge at 20:05 5 Aug 2019
He's not a league two striker mun ffs |
| Forum Reply | Sam Surridge at 19:53 5 Aug 2019
So you don't want us signing a young premier League striker on loan but seem disappointed that we aren't signing a different PL striker on loan? |

All the sympathy in the world for the two lads on the plane and their families and friends but that lot up the road forget it. Not only for the way they responded to Alan Davies but for the way they as a club are reacting now. Trying to extend the transfer window and strong rumours of looking at avoiding paying Nantes. Same old classless Cardiff I'm sorry to say. |

You made a comment that a road isn't the place to practice his sport which is fecking stupid as there isn't a cyclist or triathlete who doesn't use the road to train . Why you think that involves racing is beyond me. Hence me struggling to get my head around your point. But as your definition of racing is against another rider then clearly you have no problem with him practicing his sport on the road despite you previous moans as he doesn't race against anyone whilst training. In fact I don't know anyone who does. |

Seems to have been excellent for Ipswich, and sounds like exactly what we need right now. |

Think it's you who is struggling. Your definition of a racing seems completely different to mine. He's riding his bike at a rate that pushes his fitness whilst following the rules of the road. That isn't racing. Ffs like a fridge door |

My daughter also just missed her first choice but has been accepted into her second choice. I think your son for what it's worth is doing exactly the right thing. I was in his position many years ago and ended up doing my degree in a subject I ended up hating. Waste of three years but back then no debt, grants and a year in industry so graduated with money in the bank. Take a year, try things, get advice, talk to as many people as possible and go from there. |

Road racing on closed roads with rolling road blocks will be the only time he will RACE on the roads. You said the roads aren't the place to practice his sport but then said you don't mind if he goes fast as long as he follows the highway code. Well obviously he follows the highway code whilst practicing his sport. Problem is the dickheads driving the one tonne killing machine who have no idea what the highway code says about safe overtaking of cyclists. Btw driving into work tonight saw a car speeding up behind me then overtake but the lights were red, matter feck the lights let's go through them at 60mph plus in a 30. Compared to cyclists us car drivers are clearly the problem on the roads. We are fecking killing each other ffs but nobody seems that bothered as long as they aren't delayed. Strange times |

So again I'll ask any idea where he can practice his sport? Does the same apply to runners on pavements? Also struggling with the idea that it's now a problem to ride too fast on a road? Usually the problem is riding too slow and holding up a motorist by 5 seconds. |

So where is he meant to train then? Where did GeraintbThonas or Nicole Cooke train? As a city there is nowhere but happy for you to come up with suggestions. Oh and you do realise the difference between racing and training? |
