:-) your anorak is bigger than mine. I do recall we couldn't go anywhere for over an hour. Meanwhile my brother was at Sunderland following West Ham and was on his lonesome back in Newcy with our beers for ages. Happy times |

We can move on to discussing tomorrows midfiled choices soon :-) but as far as this trip/season, although it was third tier, it was one of my favourite seasons, there felt a real "we're in it together" between fans & the team. We did meet some nice 'Poolies that day in their social club pre match, they had an old style Shoot League ladder on the wall and there we were tucked in third (snigger). They complimented us as being only the second team to sell out the away end that season thus far as "no one wants to come up here" The station shenanigans came about because the first hourly train back to Newcy post match, was cancelled so we were told it was a 75 minute wait or buses/coaches. Plod gave the station platforms over to Rs and held the livlier Pool fans outside. |

My annual check in to wish all 970 Rs that travelled to Hartlepool, Happy Anniversary of seeing a great 1 4 win and of course meeting Deckchair Guy. Oh and we saw Lee Camp make a great debut |

The bottom line is, the fans, via their clubs, need to get this info ASAP. The trains are on Sale, so QPR (all clubs) should be chasing the EFL for outright confirmation. Knowing we all KO at the same time is a given but not much use without knowing what time that is. Of course, we all know what the real hold up is! |

Small mercies. It'll be like this for the rest of the season now. Norwich fans will be chuffed being asked to get to Blackburn for a 1230. Football without fans....... |

Back then, a kit clash in the FACUP would allow both teams to change kits rather than just the away side. |

As always, a very good summation of what we all saw unfold before us Saturday (a great day out spolied by.....) In acknowledging that was a fair scoreline, I would like to make one outrageous attempt at clutching for some straws. Spotted at the time and again on TV, I reckon the lino should have flagged for their first goal, (player offside in Nardis eyeline between him and the scorer) Even if the ref consulted and overruled, IMO there was an infringement which the lino should have helped with. Before you all laugh, take one more look. Poor defending yes but offence commited, hmmm, yes! |

"All that effort the 2,000 of us made to cram into that three-coach horsedrawn affair to Yeovil Junction (neither a junction, nor in Yeovil)" Never have I been so glad to have reserved seats for that journey back . Good job we won! This is a belated reply as I've been (unsuccessfully) looking for a photo I took on the Yeovil platform of (I believe) one of the LFW party dropping his beer stash just acquired from the superstore near the station. Small things.... etc |

Blimey Forty years ago today around 500 of us traipsed up to York for the LC 1st leg (what was the point of those 2 legged rounds) to see us win 2 4. A notable night as it was our first glimpse of York forward, John Byrne! He impressed in both games and the rest is history. |

Someone said on here we could have sold around 1600 tickets given the chance but we were capped at 1010. I'd love to know the thinking from Cambridge as to why they crammed us down that side and kept that stand behind the goal empty? Surely, allocate it to QPR and reap the £££? |

Typically, the day we play up there, there's Spaceship maintenance so we're relying on Replacement trampolines all weekend |
