You're not allowed to 'ward off' players by swinging an arm at them, before the ball is even in play, I'm not sure what has got into some people. |

"“You miss Romain [Esse], you miss Japhet [Tanganga] and you miss Jake Cooper. Three players that probably get in anybody’s Championship team. “So just a reminder to people, the thickos, that when you take the three best players out of the team that this is Millwall Football Club.” Maybe the 'thickos' comment wasn't aimed at the fans... |

Madsen got what looked like a naughty one right in front of the Stanley Bowles just before half time - haven't seen a replay but looked very high at the time. Referee was all over the place yesterday, had a passing resemblance to Rob Styles and wasn't much better than him. Nardi's booking for pissing about with the placement of a free kick probably fair, but then he let Norwich take every subsequent free kick from wherever they wanted. [Post edited 8 Dec 15:04]

A brilliant day out, wonderful result with half a first team missing through injury and suspension. Thought Celar had an impact injury rather than a hamstring but could be wrong. Norwich though, what an absolute rabble... terrible attitude, responded horribly to going behind, Dunne rattled Sainz early on and he spent the whole game getting into spats all over the pitch (including with the linesman) rather than playing football. Also they were kicking off with each other, the young 35 Fisher got a good 90 seconds of grief from one of his centre backs just before half time. The captain was an absolute bellend and the keeper has been mentioned plenty in dispatches already. If I was a Norwich fan I'd be fuming at that display. But well done us, we were superb, played some lovely football at times and were pretty solid defensively, swirling second half corners not withstanding. Morrison and Cook read the game brilliantly, and Dunne was a complete hero after the week he's had. That saving tackle at 1-0 arguably more important than the goal in terms of momentum in the game. Tremendous. Finding goals in this squad is tricky so to have Kolli come on and play like that is a huge boost. [Post edited 7 Dec 20:43]

Whatever happens I am absolutely made up for Celar, no-one has ever needed a goal like he did and what an absolute belter. |

Indeed. Dave Mac said a few weeks ago that he was entitled to the new deal for keeping us up, so it's difficult to conjure up a scenario where anyone would turn that down. If the club goes on to make a complete horlicks of the transfer window it's not his fault and when the inevitable happens he walks away with a better pay off. Good for him.

We've been flirting with relegation for years, but it feels like this year we're taking it out for a movie and dinner, nightcap at a fancy bar then checking in to a hotel and smashing its back doors in. The lack of drive yesterday was worrying... we're used to seeing an element of chaos when we're chasing games but the monotonous, one-paced play was completely uninspiring. Madness that we're selling out the ground when we stink it up so badly. Problems all over the pitch but no one able to put it right, even Cook was quiet (vocally) yesterday, probably as he knew he was playing horribly. Fox will get deserved pelters for his contribution to both goals, but Paal also had the look of someone who'd won a raffle to get picked, Paul Bruce levels of distribution. |

Completely agree, there should be the ability to name your own (lower) price. If you can't make it, Coventry at 8pm on a Tuesday will be tougher to shift without that option. But obviously the club will want to sell a fresh ticket first, allowing season ticket holders to undercut them was always a generous offer. [Post edited 8 Aug 11:48]

Put my Dad's senior ticket on the site yesterday afternoon as he can't make this weekend, was gone within a couple of hours. They sold it at the Gold full price of £38, we got £28.50 back. The club makes a turn on the ticket and booking fee, ensures another body in the ground to buy inflation-busting Carling, and we get some money back. You could conceivably sell a senior season ticket at full price for every game and get £655.50 back for an investment of £402.00 and offset the loss of your heating allowance. Congrats! Lots of good advice here, to which I'd only add, when they are very young there will be times that are very stressful, followed by times that you think you've cracked it... whatever the problem was (sleeping, eating, anything). Pro-tip - enjoy that day/week/week and a half of glory, as something will be coming along behind it to ruin the delicate peace that you've toiled to achieve. Once you are through the early years and you are able to sleep properly again it's all gravy. |
