He said he didn't think it was a penalty because Ronaldo "was not in control of the ball". Is that the rule? I always thought it was either a foul or it wasn't a foul. When the English players were wrestled to the ground at corners they weren't in control of the ball either. |

match against Feyenoord is at home on Tuesday (under 23s). Does anyone know if this at the Liberty or the Training ground? It doesn't say on the official website. |
| Forum Thread | Man City in semis of Champions League at 22:43 12 Apr 2016
Have I imagined it or did I read somewhere (in the supposed leaked details of the Bony transfer) that we get another payment if they made the semis of the Champions League? If so, did he have play in a certain percentage of the competition's games? |
| Forum Thread | Decision to play Bartley at 20:38 21 Nov 2015
Last time I saw Bartley get first team action (that I recall) was in January against Blackburn in the FA Cup. In that game his lack of pace was continually exposed by their striker, Josh King. This resulted in Bartley getting sent off as King ran rings around him. Given that the very same Josh King was playing for Bournemouth today it seemed odd to start Bartley in this game. Nothing about Bartley'serformances to date (I also remember against Liverpool away) suggests he should ever start in front if Fernandez or Amat. |

| Forum Thread | Palace tickets now on sale at 22:05 3 May 2015
I haven't received an email from club or seen anything on the "news section" of the official site, but just clicked on tickets and was surprised they were on sale. With a bank holiday the next day day I can see this one being a sell out. IMO Selhurst Park has the best atmosphere in the Premier League. |

When marking tall strikers at corners/free kicks why do we give Rangel the job. Against West Ham - Carroll, against Spurs - Kane and Blackburn - Gestede, we don't use a centre back. I'm not knocking Rangel cos he's never gonna out jump these guys. I can only assume Monk prefers him to do the job than Williams, Fernandez etc in these games. |

Reporting £27m agreement for Bony reached and Vitesse stand to receive money from deal. They are a Dutch magazine. Don't know how reliable they are? It wouldn't surprise me if a sell on clause had been inserted in the original deal when we bought him. |
| Forum Thread | Swans friendly 2011 at 22:47 24 Jul 2014
Sorry, I don't know if this has already been covered, but in 2011 we played a friendly against Real Betis. I can't remember much about the game except they had one player who ran rings around us. I've just read Jefferson montera was playing in that game and wondered if he was that player. It's a bit random I know but there's bound to be one person on here that remembers. |
| Forum Thread | Ticket office staff at 13:36 9 Jul 2014
I know there is another thread regarding tickets but this is about the staff working there. Over the years I have found the ticketing system frustrating and I've even had problems with the new jack army membership. As is the case with any business it's the people on the frontline that take the stick. However, it has to be said that the people I've dealt with over the last week have been a credit to the club. They were polite and efficient and unlike many other businesses I've dealt with they actually rang me back when they said they would and sorted out my problem. Planet swans is all too often used as a tool for criticism but very rarely (myself included) do we write to praise. So thanks ticket office people. |

Never doubted his signing for a minute.... Seriously, he slotted in well. Went off cos his hamstring was tight. Hopefully back soon cos his 45 minutes were impressive. |

Not seen it mentioned on here but he tweaked his hamstring yesterday. Not sure how bad he is. I've never known an injury list like it. Meanwhile, no news on canas? |
| Forum Thread | ticket fiasco part 389 at 21:11 27 Nov 2013
Be gentle cos I've never posted on here before. Aston Villa away tickets went on sale to season ticket holders who are Jackarmy members last week. They will be going on general sale next week. I didn't get paid until this week so I've just tried to buy tickets for my family, only to find out I can't because I'm a season ticket holder who is a Jackarmy member & tickets are only on sale to non season ticket holding Jackarmy members. So, I can't buy a ticket this week cos I paid over a grand in season tickets for my family to support my club. If I hadn't bothered I'd be able to get them. Will I get a chance to buy them next week or will civil servants be given preference for general sale of Villa tickets as appears to be the norm nowadays. Is there no end to the nonsensical way the ticket office is run or is it just me? PS I know this isn't on the "ticket forum" but everyone seems to be posting ticket related stuff on here. |
