Maybe the club could strike up a deal with a local reputable hypnotherapist for some form of discount on a stop smoking session. Could also do something with the Manchester Allen Carr easyway clinic to run some discounted sessions at the club. As the football league introduced the ban they could also get involved with a subsidy
I think had the price been set at £110 initially 4000 tickets would have been sold. The initiative was a nice idea but I got the impression of too much of a you first attitude. I think the Rochdale public would have got excited at a season ticket priced at £110 from day one and no scheme involving putting £50 down which could potentially be worthless.
alternative ending S if you decide not to pay the balance your deposit can be used as a voucher for 2 games and you will get a 15% discount in the club shop. C That might be worth considering
Back when the season ticket promotion was running. I dared to suggest the non refundable £50 deposit with no value unless you paid the balance would put people off. This met with snide remarks about pet projects not being taken up. Fast foward to now and the board are being criticised as having no vision. Here's an idea next years season ticket should be £111 any stand if purchased within a certain time period.
If it's me being referred to up thread. I don't think it is an unfair comment to say. The deposit being non refundable and having no value if the balance isn't paid will have put people off. It did put me off and I don't think I am unique in any way. As for pet ideas and upset with the club not adopting them. They were just suggestions to debate on the thread.
If you were a season ticket holder last year and were planning to renew. Someone thinking of becoming a season ticket holder, or someone planning to attend 10 or more games the £200 is fantastic. Payment of the balance will partly be down to number of games that are likely to be attend I would have thought.
I was thinking about those that might have thought I only get to 5 games a season but I will put £50 down because surely the 4000 target will be reached. £110 will be the 5 games covered and if circumstances permit they can attend other matches and the fee was already paid for. Now even if they go in the terrace. 5 games paid for on the gate plus the £50 deposit equates to £135 £65 less than paying the balance
I don't think expecting the 4000 deposits to be reached was cloud cuckoo land. The population of rochdale borough the according to the 2011 census was 211699 4000 is less than 2% of that figure. 3000 definitely not CCL either.
