Yep completely agree. I too sit in the Itchen and the noise from the saints fans from the Northam is louder than it’s ever been . I also don’t get the problem with the Alez alez song. That song can be heard by many fans from different teams and the fact is most football songs are sung by fans all over the country but they put their own version on it and football songs have been like that for as long as I can remember.
We just need more songs. Some fans get together and work on it or post songs online . Man Utd have an array of songs and their away support has always been good . Yet again it boils down to how much you want it .
You could look at it another way. I myself and my brother and one or two others tend to leave when we’re getting hammered but it really hurts and I/ we don’t want to see it , it affects your mood and can ruin your weekend . You could say that those that stay when we’re getting annihilated don’t really care that much about the result . Just a thought.
I agree Sulemana has been given a lot of stick by many over his saints career, I have been one of them to give him stick . It’s obvious from his recent appearances that there’s a talent in there .
Yep, as I predicted on here after the pre season games where he stood out a mile and in particular the Millwall friendly, Dibling was outstanding and I said then that he reminded me of Le Tiss . He will be playing for a big club soon without a doubt. However he showed yesterday he probably can’t be arsed with playing in the worst Southampton team I’ve seen since 1971.
I think Sulemana has the potential to be a good premier league player whereas Armstrong will never be a premier league player that is the difference . Let’s see what Juric can get out of him so far it’s looking good. Some players just work better with different managers . Sulemana and Onachu were never going to adapt to RM style of play. Sulemana likes to take people on and wasn’t encouraged to do that before. Onachu likes crosses coming not playing tippy tappy Shyte.
I like Armstrong and appreciate what he’s done for us but he’s no prem player. MOTD were raving about Sulemana at Ipswich, sometimes you can get a less biased view from what neutrals have to say.
Everyone of us has their own favourites, mine is from 1971 players that I’ve watched live and have given me the most pleasure( not necessarily legends, although imo they are all legends apart from Ekelund ) are
Matt Le Tissier Mick Channon Terry Paine Ron Davies Mark Wright Rickie Lambert Ronnie Ekelund Mark Dennis Steve Williams Kevin Keegan
You have to question what the f@coni’s going on there . If he’s sulking get rid of him he’s obviously got talent and there would be interest , he’s been put in our match day squad lately so bloody use him . Ridiculous.
I agree. He was decent pre season along with Dibling they were the stand out players. I also remember him playing well the season before and then was suddenly left out. I don’t think the lad has been given much of a chance here.
