Well, well … not the type of game and score line that most Saints fans would have expected. Credit the team for recovering from an awful start. Certainly one of the best attacking performances we have seen. Playing without fear (I suppose) there were some good moves and excellent goals. Defensively we were a bit all over the place, but, credit where it is due, McCarthy made some good saves. Well onwards - and hopefully upwards - next season!?

Played like an exhibition match or pre season warm up with a Liverpool B side

With his staged early exit JWP is definitely off, but we knew that really. Goodbye to Selles, Theo and Ely as well plus probably McCarthy, Lavia, KWP and probably Charly - the guy has done more in 10 odd games than most have done all season, someone will surely snap him up.

Glad it's all over and just hope we can hit the ground running next season, get some momentum and get used to competing for 90 minutes again.

Hopefully Sports Republic have learned lots this season and can build back better.

Sulemana had a couple of purple patches there for a bit. I guess we were saving him for the Championship.

Hard work undone by cretinous defending. I can't imagine sports retarded will learn anything as their USP seems to be owning lower league clubs as a farm for young talent. They've achieved that now let's see what happens next.

I'd give Sam Amo-Ameyaw an 8 or a 9 for the time he was on the pitch. What a brilliant debut that was from Saints' youngest ever Premier League player. He was dribbling past Liverpool players like they were training cones.

Sulemana was brilliant too. He looked the best player on the pitch for either side and sprinted 3/4 of the length of the pitch with the ball for his 2nd goal. It deserved to be on the shortlist for MOTD's Goal of the Season but I guess that were chosen before yesterday's games.
