My friend is one of the few who travelled out last night, unfortunately he got jumped before the game, as was heavily beat up.He spend £1000 on this trip to see the swans, and after the game, the players didn't clap the fans or knowledge them at all, my friend was staying on the same hotel as the swans, so he waited on the lobby to say goodbye, none of the players said anything, walked past him like he wasn't even there, i think that is disgusting!

Even tho it was a bad result, you have to thanks the fans surly?

I don't know the original poster but the story is 100 percent true. Few jacks posted photos on Facebook this morning of their wounds, only late teens and not trouble makers at all. They were set upon by about 20 locals and took a hammering and were in a bit of a state.

Other than that the attitude from some on here towards a fellow jack is a joke, I'd be p1ssed off as well if I'd spent several hours, 100s of pounds watching that shower I'd be annoyed too if they didn't show a little bit of appreciation to the 50 or so who travelled.

I wish I could give him a clap.

In 5* Russian hotels you can get the clap no problem at all.

Laudrup did signal to the players at the end to acknowledge the fans. The bit in the hotel is quite sad and there are going to be a number of reasons why there was no interaction.
One thing is open for discussion, it is lucky for some people that we played in Swansea first.

Under Marrinez and especially Rodgers the players would always acknowledge the fans and thank them for their support home or away. Doesn't happen under Laudrup at all, few come over at the end of most games but the usual shoot off straight down the tunnel.

Interesting that your very definition of cyber existence is that of a Welshman, yet where do we find you? On a fellow Welsh teams board, goading your bretheren. Its totally illogical captain....

Aye they cared about Swansea and the clubs fans did Martinez and Rodgers, fair do's. And that Sousa boy too, he used to come over with the players. He loved Swansea fans he did. In fact all of them adored us, right up until the moment they f**ked off and adored their new fans.

Seriously mate, do you really give a s**t about this sort of trivia. Do you really think it's anything but a pretend ritual for these £30 grand a week fruitloops. It's like all the nonsense about Shelveys swim away. Who cares. Pratley done the swim away as did Anderson, and both were off for better deals faster than s**t through a goose.

I'd rather they do their jobs, play well, win, and ferk off. We can all applaud each other when we're safe or when we win a cup.

I was at the game. Thought about whether to respond or not. Figured, its probably fair to give both sides of the story.
We were definitely acknowledged by some of the players, not sure whether it was just because these three felt responsible but Vorm, Canas and Davies all made numerous and repeated gestures to the fans. I also remember Dyer and one other making an effort to come off the bench and acknowledge us. That was pretty much the extent of it though.
I think i know who your mate was and im pretty sure he wasn't without blame in the incident where he got beat up. Stealing the scarves they want to swap before you jump on the bus post game probably isnt the best way to promote the club's fans eithers.
The main reason i want to say something is because there were others of us who spent the majority of the 48hrs with their ultras and didnt have a single issue. in fact, they couldnt have been more welcoming of us. KubanLad and his mates were brilliant, we had a great time because of their hospitality and suggestions.
It probably helps though when you don't just treat the away trip like one big booze up...maybe its a cultural thing... but i wonder how the guy who missed the game from being in hospital for alcohol poisoning felt, or the one who slept/spewed in his seat for the first 70 minutes, or the possessed woman who looked like she was straight out of the Exorcist for 90 minutes.
As for the guy not getting much love from them in hotel, it probably didn't help that he ran up to Chico as soon as they walked in the door, pint in hand and start yabbering at him... from the look on Chico's face, it was pretty obvious he had nfi what was going, understandable given im sure he stills knows bugger all english, let along drunk exciteable rapidly spoken slang. Plus i dont begrudge the fans after a deflating finish (and they all looked pissed) and when theyre heading straight to the restaurant to refuel, they may not be in the chirpiest mood. That said, others had their photos taken with Laudrup and Trundle at the time... so maybe your mate should just think about his general delivery and behaviour next time.
But im sure he wont and im sure someone will probably tell me im wrong for x, y or z reason. I'm not a killjoy but it was kind of embarassing and cringeworthy at some points to see how some were representing us.

I was there not that I knew a lot about it. Anyone who knows me will know I don't go to away games and get so pissed up I don't know what's going on and I had spent two night in Krasnodar prior to the game drinking without issue and I had a great time. Me and the lad who ended up in hospital were invited into a bar by the ground and all of the kuban fans wanted to give us vodkas, no problem there. They didn't seem to let us refuse however and without realising we just ended up getting pretty bad. Not sure how I ended up at the game etc but by the time the last 20 or so I was watching and in the hotel I was back to usual drinking cokes and talking and laughing about the previous. I had no issue with the players in the hotel every single one I approached was brilliant, all had a quick chat with me and then carried on upstairs. The only player I didn't see and others agreed was Williams who went straight up supposedly.

I know the guy who got injured over there, not a troublemaker but I dunno what happened at the time of the incident as I've heard numerous stories. I wasn't too annoyed they didn't clap us seeing as the state I was in but I thought they were great back at the hotel, ok they didn't mingle with us for ages but all stopped for photos and a chat.

We had a talk with some of the directors who felt they should have clapped us and we were told there was an idea from Leon (I believe) to bring the shirts over to the crowd had they won the game, but seeing as the way the game ended they didn't do this.

Said lad is now posting photos of himself and players before and after the game in the hotel on Thursday so the original post is quite a bit off the mark.

I know that's why I've posted this response. At the time why wouldn't I, ID stick up for any fan on here if I thought they were getting a rough deal and I thought he was.

Most of what I posted was about them getting a hammering which did happen.
