the co-commentator was a proper dickhead, John Birtles someone else reckoned. Seemed to have a genuine hatred for Mackie, counting out imaginary numbers of fouls he'd committed.
Also when Shite-Phillips was introduced he hailed him as 'a game changer' 
Had to walk away and watch the Villa game for a minute to get over that one.

Agree, kept going on about the Mackie "bad" tackle in the first few minutes.
Ball bounced up and he went for the ball and caught Sunderland player - he wanted a yellow card for that!
When Jamie committed his next serious foul a mere hour later  he started going on and on and on "how many more?"
The next, very minor foul, almost gave him a heart attack and thought he was going to have kittens after Jamie's next foul which, quite rightly,then brought a caution.
Cue much knashing of teeth from Birtles claiming he should have been booked before.
Game would have ended 7 a side if referee had taken his advice all night - clearly wanted Sunderland to win. | | | |

If Peter Reid was spouting off in scouse they could have got Joey Barton in to do the translation into Arabic. It appears that he has recently mastered the French Language and so I am sure he would be able to do a job. | |

Yeah that was really funny, they just melded seamlessly from Scouse to Arabic! I rather hoped Reidy was gonna join in with the lingo or at least got dressed up the same as the presenter.
