Blood tests 23:04 - Feb 10 with 1131 viewscolinallcars

Used to take a week to get the results.
I had tests at 3pm and the first results just popping up on my ipad 6 hours later.
It'll be a finger-wagging from the GP but the NHS has made more strides than Burton's tailors.

The NHS is great and so is science endeavour when it works for the citizens of this country. This is what we pay our taxes for.

I hardly ever use the NHS and haven't been to the Doctor for years. I know I should, but I am lazy as we know.

Still, despite that, I am glad my taxes go towards your health even though I don't directly get the benefit. I am a patriot and want the UK to be great as it is, and we need all UK people to be looked after to prosper, not just the few.

About time the NHS caught up with best practise from other countries.

I need monthly blood tests, after a couple of DVTs. For at least 18 months, I've had blood taken in the morning, with online results available the same afternoon. That's the French health system for you.

Not wanting to simply dunk on the NHS, but the truth is my father has been in with pneumonia since the start of December. after 2 rounds of antibiotics were stopped to early he now has a super infection.

I've picked up Flu visiting the wards, my mother is nearly exhausted. Lets not guild the lily here it's great when thing go well, but I can give you hours of examples for frankly dangerous levels of care.

There is a long way to go.

Good luck to everyone trying to get well.

Which would be standard in these parts...online, text and email, if you so request.
