I might be wrong but I think he was predominantly considered a centre half at spurs. He even trialed for QPR at centre half, and was absolutely stand out in the game I saw him play. What seems to have happened is that he has been given an opportunity in CM at QPR by Marti, that he didn’t get at spurs - probably because they are stocked with young talent in CM.
And he has absolutely excelled in the position. His energy, stamina, and tireless running and pressing are a joy. But the lad can also play, has a decent first touch, gets it out of his feet quickly, has great awareness, and moves the ball quickly and decisively. Always showing as well. Well done Kieran. You could see that within 5 minutes of his debut. Offered more in that 5 minutes than Madsen has done all season.
You win some, you lose some. Morgan is a great find. So we've won there. Madsen is a dud. So we've lost there.

Earlier in the season I liked that Morgan was playing, but not to the extent that many on this board did. I thought many games passed him by, especially the Coventry match after he had scored the equalliser. However, at his age & experience that has to be expected & he never hid.
Then came the second half against Preston & yesterday, with his first time ball down the line to Paul Smyth exceptional. Inbetween these games was his first half at Norwich where he was the best player/footballer on the pitch.
Now this is where I might be getting carried away! I'm not intending to be comparing him to Gerry Francis & I certainly wouldn't expect him to become anywhere close to be as good as the great man, but there are moments that remind me of when Gerry broke into the team. His confidence, willingness to receive the ball & make the best pass are there for all to see. I expect that he also is not content with his start for us & wants to learn & improve.
