Biggest Club in the World vs QPR Match Thread 15:37 - Nov 6 with 41601 viewsMonkey_Roots

When we knocked them over last season, I was round my mate's house, who is a HUGE Leeds fan, and has a HUGE mouth to go with it - they were going up, we were tin pot, couldn't wait etc etc

I took a picture of him after each goal

1st picture, the facial expression was a bit like 'that's weird, they've scored'
2nd picture was more like 'oh feck'
3rd picture was the middle finger
4th picture just had a blanket over his head

It was one of the best days of my life.

Leeds 2-0

What month do we think we'll next score a goal? November, December or January?

My money's on February, at this rate.

Damo I'm just going to ask you this - did you watch that game?

No...but I don't need to. I've seen two thirds of the matches this season...and now find us unwatchable. You can see a bigger picture sometimes. Love to be proved wrong though of course. I don't put up with shite in my life anymore, so I guess I don't let QPR get under my skin anymore. If that makes me less of a supporter.than some others...I couldn't give a toss. I will continue to analyse and comment on the fortunes of QPR for as long as I want to. I want better for our club, and it's fantastic supporters who follow the team home and away.

As bad as his overall game has been he does know what he’s doing with the ball at his feet.. and a bit of time!

He and Dembele were never brought in with a mind to defending in any form. Dangerous approach in this Division, really needed Hayden to get anywhere near giving either of those a chance to play their best game. Turned out lethal with Colback missing and only Field at CDM.

Hayden should have been the first signing and only then chance your arm on these type of players. We gambled and failed.

I suspect the problem is still FFP though, Hayden was expensive and could not get in the starting 11 at the back end of the season. Bottom line is a club with our limited resources and FFP headroom cannot cope losing its best striker, attacking midfielder, midfielder, centre back and both left backs for 1/3 + of the season. This is more than one season in the making

I don't actually believe you've seen two thirds of the games. Every time you're asked you haven't watched, for the reasons you just rhymed off.

It's all very well saying we may as well go down to League 1 but you'll be less exposed to that than many other people on this board. For the simple fact that you don't watch most games.

That would be fine if you didn't have such a constant drip feed of negativity when things go wrong. Because you literally haven't seen them when they've gone right.

I'm not saying things aren't bad at the minute but the way you bounce up when it goes wrong is a bit much to be honest, considering your actual knowledge of it all.

Just in the pub waiting for the train

Thought we battled well enough . Field and Cellar have to hit the target with those chances

Way off being a decent team though .

Support was decent

Fair enough
And 'edit' still fair enough. Not looking to offend.

Fair play for going. Decided before before Pompey I’d see how that result went before committing and delighted with that choice.

No problem. We are all hurting,...let's not turn on each other. Hopefully we will get a win at home soon...that is the most frustrating thing for me at the moment personally. I'll be sure to watch the next game... but can't promise I'll watch it to the end though😉

Correct - he also opened them up twice and would have been 3 times if Smyth had made the run he should off. There is a player there but we have to set up in the right way to get the most out of him as we did at Sunderland

Ya, three very nice passes to be fair.

There was a point in the first half where Smyth was playing very narrow and was much closer to Celar than usual. It was during that time that Celar looked more comfortable, grew a little in confidence, made a couple of good runs and even attempted a through ball to somebody (didn't come off). I think Celar needs Smyth playing off him, there could possibly be a good partnership there. No point having Smyth running down the wing to cross to an ineffective Celar. Better having him playing off Celar. Especially, if as today, Celar responds positively to it.

It was a moment later when Leeds scored and we went back to being abject.

I saw the Celar chance online ,there was a QPR player ( sorry bad eyes not sure who he was ) running free into the box for a tap in but he blazed wide or just over.
He was probably well within his rights to shoot but those chances are so rare we have to be taking them

Saw the chances again this morning and Field should have buried it 😡

Saito should have put Lloyd in instead of Celar . Once Celar had the ball he didn't have any options but should have hit the target
