RIP. on 20:03 - Mar 25 with 1266 views | theloneranger | Brian was part of the Swans 1969/70 promotion squad under Roy Bentley. He had an unusual claim to fame - when he played for Exeter City in a friendly against the Swans in 1967, whilst still a Swan - as Exeter could not raise enough players to make a team. He later went on to make his league debut against Exeter. RIP Brian YJB | |

RIP. on 22:41 - Mar 25 with 1186 views | OptimisticJack | The day before Brian's debut there was a great photo of him on the back of the Evening Post with him jumping in the air outside The Three Lamps - next to Castle Gardens. After his playing days Brian was a well known publican and ran the Singleton and Builders public houses amongst other pubs in the area. Brian and his wife Ann were excellent hosts. Ann spent most of her time in the kitchen whilst Brian would normally be found the other side of the bar chatting to his customers. We had our wedding reception in the Builders in the mid 90s - Brian and Ann done us proud that day. So sad to hear of his passing. Sincere condolences to Ann and the family. RIP Brian [Post edited 25 Mar 23:07]
