Look at the difference between brum and cardiff, yes we had downes and paterson back but look at the difference in the players, they never tired on Saturday but what about last night, they definitely tired towards then end, it was mentioned several times.
Top sides in this division especially the top two have bigger and more depth of quality in their squads, that's why their performances rarely dip and that's why they are running away, we have a relatively small squad and some players ie dhanda and fulton rarely get games.
I have been sceptical this last few weeks but after the last two game I truly believe that if we get a 4/5 player change around we will definitely need challenging for the play offs. | | | |

So pleased for Russell Martin and the team.
Our performance last night was even better than that against Cardiff apart from tiring a bit towards the end.
Some of our play last night as was the case on Saturday was sublime and amazing to watch.
The work on the training ground is coming to fruition on match day and things are clicking on the field.
We now have a big match on Saturday against a Derby side fighting for their lives.
Really hope we can kick on, get another good performance and provide a level of consistency in our play and in doing so continue to move up the table to a position better reflective of where we are as a team. [Post edited 6 Apr 2022 9:23]

The geographical factor may play a part. I know we’ve mocked the idea in the past but sitting on a bus for hours does take it out of you and we do travel an awful lot further than any other club in the league. Must get back at 4/5 in the morning from some away games. | | | |

It happened last season too and I was critical of "fatigue" used as an excuse.
Talk to old pros who played on heavy pitches with only one sub...travellign on buses no dietry control or medical facilites of today.....about fatigue and tiredness!
I have never bought into how a pro sports person can be tired....they have the same basic bodies as other humnas who often work 5 days a week for 12 hours atr atimme yet still perform ! | |
