Wigan into administration on 12:40 - Jul 1 with 7641 views | Northernr | Got to feel for the manager and the team who've worked so hard and played so well since Christmas to climb out of the sht. Taken over just four weeks ago. How the fck has that been allowed to happen? 12 points off straight away according to bbc.

Wigan into administration on 12:43 - Jul 1 with 7595 views | BrianWilliamsBeard | Yeah, likely to be the first rather than the last. I wonder if the force majeure clause in the rules might save them from the full 12 points?

Wigan into administration on 12:49 - Jul 1 with 7484 views | 2Thomas2Bowles | Would put them on 38 points and bottom, IF they could carry on their form a small chance of staying up, I hope they do. Meanwhile Leroy Sane to be paid around 380k a week by Bayern Munich Utter utter madness [Post edited 1 Jul 2020 12:51]

Wigan into administration on 12:52 - Jul 1 with 7479 views | themodfather | one of many admins , in light of the cash crisis at this time, of course pr will get docked the pts for wigan as our fault! the rules changes many wanted were to stop the ig tam staying on top, these rules are NOT levelling the field.
Wigan into administration on 12:54 - Jul 1 with 7461 views | Paddyhoops | Shame for Wigan but once again its probably the EFL not doing thier homework on the suitable ownership issue. No doubt Northern R will have a thing or two to say on the issue and rightly so!! Are the EFL even fit for purpose?? The jury's out!!
Wigan into administration on 13:03 - Jul 1 with 7354 views | Watford_Ranger | Technically as we’re past March it should come off next season. The powers that be to decide whether it should apply this year or next.
Wigan into administration on 13:09 - Jul 1 with 7313 views | TheChef | New owner last year I think it was, Chinese. According to the Wigan mate at work, the ownership company changed hands last month. He's not sure if it's Covid-related, something more underhand, or a bit of both. Once again, when it comes to QPR, I'm happy to say better the devil you know!

Nah you've got to take the points off now. Otherwise what's to stop every club in the league going into admin, writing its debts off, buying the club back for a pound, and carrying on?
Wigan into administration on 13:13 - Jul 1 with 7280 views | Dixie_CT | 7 years since Wigan won the FA Cup and it is story number four on the BBC football page. The sport is getting further and further away from us and I’m not sure what is going to bring it back.

Couldn’t agree more but I think Wigan could argue by the letter of the law it ought to be next year. With the points we’re gifting them next week they’d fancy their chances from 38 points.

Then everyone would go into admin right now and wipe their debts, no? Seems like they were waiting for that win last night before doing it. Shame if it keeps Stoke up. Cracking relegation battle this year though, shame there's no fans to see it!

This is the EFL though Clive. Anything could happen! When will they annouce the verdict on Sheffield Wednesday?
Wigan into administration on 13:22 - Jul 1 with 7187 views | DannyPaddox | Amazing run of form they’ve been on since looking dead and buried in Feb D D W W W D W W W 12 points deducted leaves them bottom and 4 points from survival. Would love to see them stay up. Had one of the best sessions ever with their fans after the play-off semi-final first leg. Great bunch of people. Will be looking out for their results.

Hearing started last week so Sheff Wed is imminent. Could end up with a bottom three populated by teams suffering points deductions for financial mismanagement, which is the long game Hoos has been playing with us - that it'll all come back to haunt these clubs while we'll be fine.

Wigan's fixtures are kind: Brentford A Rangers H Barnsley A Hull H Charlton A Fulham H Apart from the first one, all winnable, Hull and Rangers are nailed on 6pts, so that takes them back to 44 already...
Wigan into administration on 13:29 - Jul 1 with 7105 views | collegeranger | I would not be surprised that they have gone into administration now on the back of 3 wins - betting that they survive in the Championship even with 12 points deducted and escape relegation. Then buying the club back thru some circuitous route - debt free!
Wigan into administration on 13:30 - Jul 1 with 7101 views | BAWHoops | EFL have said points deduction won't apply this season if they are relegated anyway and they would start next season on -12 instead If they stay up this season then they will have the 12 points deducted So they are down
