I know they are part of the customary tribal nonsense which seems to be part of a lot of Swans fan's makeup. However, singing those songs doesn't half make all us Swans fans look stupid. The two songs yesterday - " The scum are losing 1'0 / 2-0" and "Cardiff get battered everywhere they go" proved not only yet again to be factually incorrect, but do nothing to support the team. When we are playing Cardiff I can understand the banter element of such songs. However in the other 36 games - why not something more relevant?

On the subject of needing some new songs, thought I’d throw a suggestion out, with the full preparation of being shot down.
To the tune of ‘I’m into something good - Herman’s Hermits’
Woke up this morning feeling fine Got Connor Gallagher on my mind He plays football the way, The way you should, oh yeah Something tells me I’m in for something good

Too gay
You might think I've forgotten, but one day, when you least expect it, my time will come.
A short while ago you could have subbed Connor Gallagher for Swansea City and the he to a we and it would have been accurate. Not so sure it is now though. However, nor is ‘We’re the greatest football team the World has ever seen’ but it’s still sung.

The words “I woke up this morning with Connor Gallagher on my mind???” Being sung by sexually active men will never happen.... he is a good looking chap though

Used to be far worse the amount of Cardiff songs back in the day. We used to be losing two nil or something against Carlisle or whoever and then the North Bank would start singing "two one, we beat the scum two one" and you'd think what the fack!?"

Written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin - who, at the time, was having an affair with the (married) singer which resulted in a baby that Gerry claimed paternity of. Ms King and Mr McCrea weren't best pleased...as if bringing up a mixed race child in the USA at that time wasn't difficult enough.
Yernahtid fans sing it so there's another reason not to.

That was back in a time before my clean life so I often needed a reminder of a variety of things so I was quite thankful.

There's been loads of well thought out songs etc on this site over the years. No of them ever get sung. Its probably because its easier to sing the same generic chant that every other team does and put one of our players names in it. (same for a lot of clubs i know) Last time we had a good original chant was the Scott Sinclair song, and no doubt someone will tell me that was copied.
Maybe reword it so its a little less Gay and it'd be a good tune.
