Chance to build on last week and get another three points to try and increase the gap to the drop zone. Be interesting to see if any of the missing players return.

Bury better have some alternative socks, hate a royal blue v navy clash.

Pre-match pint from Phoenix Brewery, and will be pointing any bury fans in that direction whilst they stand around wondering how to organise a piss up

Try the Fox & Goose cooperative. Much improved since it has been taken over & genuinely a proper pub. I even bought a few shares in the cooperative

The mighty Sunderland already 1 nil down at home. Bet they regret that they wanted rid of Jack Ross.

Sunderland are a club in crisis. Players are ill-disciplined and theink they're too good for League One. They need a clear out. McGeady has already been told to leave. He won't be the last.

Pint Pot - three pumps on, ale in good nick and right temperature for this time of year, cellar cool rather than frostbitten, £3.40 (40p off for camra)

Fairly typical of micropubs, basic seating and nowt fancy but a few decent people in so a relaxing pint. Will definitely be one to return to again and again

I agree Sudden. They seem to have a belief that they are a “big” club but I can’t remember when Sunderland was a big club. One FA Cup for about 80 years ?

They've always been well supported, but so are Portsmouth. Having been in the Premiership doesn't mean you're a big club. Ask Swindon Town. Or Oldham.

Egos don't score goals.

Not seen a player bust a gut or try to get stuck in all afternoon, not what you want on derby day and one can only think they are trying to save themselves for the big cup game on Monday.

Sort it out BBM
