Thought he was excellent when he came on. I think he could really develop under Cooper into a great player.

Still much work to be done as we were poor first half, but no complaints here!

Was pretty poor against Northampton.....until he scored. Been on top of his game since...did well today.

I like him too. Pity though that everything improved when one of our new signings was subbed at half time though.

Was played out of his natural position against Northampton. He's an attacking midfielder.

He should try wearing boots with studs in next game.

Was like babmi on ice.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

This. Plus he & the rest of the team didn't seem to know what position he was playing in.

The OP for once is correct.

Georgie pulled the strings, great finish.

And he benefitted from an Andre into the swing of the game.

Waa laughed at by brynnie for suggesting that byers should be playing as a no 10 instead of celina.

But apparently they both played very well together in the second half.

As my text to you just after the game, Byers was outstanding.

Today. And that’s the problem, inconsistency. He needs to start more games to get the experience and confidence that will make him the player that he shows signs of being.

IMO Byers is one of our best players.

He should be starting every week

I drove home from the game today expecting to see a Byers thread on here. Didn't see one and I was surprised.

Always thought he could contribute more as a an all-round player, but we really missed him in the first half. We really needed a player who could put his foot on the ball and keep possession.

Great to see that he has such excellent finishing ability to his game too. Could be a huge player for us.

Celina is inconsistent as well, he can be poor especially in away games.

I don’t disagree. Both have plenty to offer. At times Celina looked dangerous, bit of an enigma at the moment, so much technical ability , he’s no winger but today performed better on the left than he did as a 10, Tuesday , last week the opposite? Byers is the same for me, he changed the game today, all about systems, new management, new players. It’ll take a few more weeks, but we are getting there. All positivity from me.

I agree with all that.

the trouble is he's not as good as celina at #10, and I think fulton works better alongside grimes.

if we played a diamond, he'd be perfect.

I think the players revert to that style when it is obvious what we were doing in the first half wasn't working.
From what I've heard about Wilmot and saw last week I'd be tempted to play him in from of the back 4 as a CDM. He's not afraid to push forward and has decent defensive abilities (passing could be a problem).

My only concern with Byers is his head can drop very quickly if things aren't going well.

I like Byers he has a knack of scoting.
Some of our players won't talk the responsibility of having a shot.
But Byers do

His legs are going in the different direction to the rest of his body, I'm not surprised he is injured.

OK I've changed it.
