Shefki may be the only one chomping at the bit to take up the reigns, and that's probably subject to no other offers coming his way!

And Warwick should know. He has long had a reputation for holding the reins without actually reigning.

Zeljko Buvac, Klopps former assistant at Dortmund & Liverpool, mysteriously left Liverpool and hasn't done anything since then I believe, could be a good shot and would definitely have his teams playing good football.

Would be happy with this. Excellent reputation as a coach and he could hoover up Citehs better younger players.

Would be a quality appointment, would assume Pep would be more than willing to let his fringe players be loaned out to wherever he is going. Won't be us though.

Nixon has previously played down arteta managing when linked to other clubs. He has had much better offers than swansea, think he prefers being a no2.

Our next Manager on 11:05 - May 31 with 2414 views | ymaohyd | As it stands can't see it being anyone mentioned so far. With the seemingly 'insider information' on Mellon, thought it would be him. As he hasn't been appointed yet, can't see it happening. In football I don't think you interview a candidate then take a week to get back to them, especially if they are with another club.

Hopefully they are just taking their time to appoint the right guy. I would rather they do that than rush the appointment.

I hope so, and it does seem it. Nixon (not that he's a bench mark) did seem to suggest a 'foreign' manager was his best bet for the job, and this person was not in the betting market. None of the managers in the betting market give me hope, they all seem underwhelming if i'm being honest.

The only times the betting market was anywhere close to being correct was with Brad Bobbley and Potter last year. The betting market is only a guide, and a poor one at that.

I agree about taking their time, however , when someone is with another club you identify them, discuss the legal side with the club and get the deal sorted, as Brighton did with Potter. You don't ' allegedly ' interview them etc and get back to them at a later date. I think Mellon is out of the running.
