I mentioned the drop in attendances 6 weeks ago due to Sky tv picking both games for live broadcast.People responded that it won’t make much difference, but I reckon we were at least 1,000 down on Wednesday and at least 2k down last night.
The failure of the family stand project is becoming more obvious as the weeks go by.

Just guesswork, but I'd say had the game not been televised then Norwich would more or less filled upper and lower. As for the Family stand - and I know it's been done to death on here, that is not a good spectacle on live tv.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Charge £10 and we would have got about an extra thousand through the turnstiles. Our support is dwindling year on year. Until the next successful season of course.

With the club under FFP, I can't ever see that happening again unless the clubs breaks the rules or moves to a new stadium and the revenue improves enough for QPR to compete financially in the division. We're stuck here watching crap like Saturday and the only excitement coming our way will be a relegation scrap at the end of the season. Bloody Holloway the idiot even took that away from us.

Issue we have is we have a very small core fanbase that goes week in week out, I have always said that we are a small club in a city with so many clubs. Another problem is the attendances will continue to decrease solely to the lack of young fans who are becoming QPR fans, we have very few QPR fans in the next generation. Those brought up in the 70s 80s and early 90s saw a competitive QPR side with players with roots, the current u20s dont have that

Poll: Of the 3 linked away, who do you think will still be a QPR player come February?

Think my situation is similar to quite a few others.

Had a season ticket from about 97 up until the start of last season. Went every week and to a lot of away games too. Loved it. Went with my old man and my brother and was fantastic. Brother dropped out for a couple of periods (Uni) but 2 out of the 3 of us would always go. Met my now wife in 2010 and still went every week, she didnt care as she used to see her mates etc. Then 2013 we had our 1st child and the 2nd came along in 2015. Still used to go albeit not every week and my brother picked up my ticket.

Now.my brother has moved away he cant go, and the age the kids are now at they want to do things with me at the weekend (give it a few years and they wont I reckon) so as sometimes i can go a few days not seeing them much due to work weekends are pretty special.

Have always done the mid week games as work in London so it made sense but what with those now being shown on TV I can save myself probably north of £50 quid ( ticket, couple of beers something to eat) get home maybe see them and watch it there which also saves me getting home after midnight.

For me it comes down to priorities and money at the moment. Still hoping to get to around 8-10 games this season but cant justify it week in week out

yep!... Loftus Road was once regarded as a smart modern stadium... but that was 30 years ago and its pretty much unchanged since then.
We are competing with Chelsea, Fulham, and Brentford locally. All are higher than us (2 in the Prem), all will have more comfortable stadiums with better facilites (as of next season), all play very attractive football.
The only way we will get better attendances is to re-inspire the existing fan base and that will only happen with consitently more entertaining football.

Just think people have got better things to do with their time (and money) than go and watch Championship football which is, putting it politely, pretty dull (95% of the time).

Unless we sign a top player from one of the many ethnic minorities around West London.I thought we might have seen a few more Polish fans after our 2 Polish players signed, although one has moved on and the other isn’t getting any games.
We are stuck with what we have for a while I guess.

I expected a lot of Polish fans as well, especially as local churches report an increase in attendance due to Polish people joining the flock. These Poles are not as Godless as us !

The solution seems obvious to me - if everything is designed for TV the fans who attend must be paid significant appearance fees, expenses etc.
