I had a pint of something absolutely rank in there. Tasted like I was drinking an ashtray. Swapped to the mango cider. What a night that was.

Funny you should mention Mango’s, I as in the States over the summer and they had a brewery over there making mango beer, never tried anything like it before, it was lovely. Beer is so much better these days, much more choice as a result of microbrewery’s and the like. https://www.harpoonbrewery.com/beers/harpoon-camp-wannamango-68

I'm waiting for some microbrewery to come up with a decent lager or pils

If you go to M&S they do a can of Belgian lager in a green can. It is Primus lager. 5% delicious!!! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Our Czech friends may have something to say about that, Dickie... Not a great lager fan but I'll happily quaff the better ones. Efes (German brewmaster), Moretti and Estrella are worth a mention too. Had some great craft beers/lagers in Italy this year - it's huge there.
