And you can guarantee there will be another review within 3 years to bring it forward again.
There were reviews in 2011,2014 and now 2017 all of which brought the qualifying year forward by an average of 6.5 years.

Where on earth have I said that I believe that austerity is responsible for a slow down in life expectancy? My view is that any tangible effect on life expectancy happens over decades, not a relatively few years.
