Would be a steal.

It is a difficult one, because, although signing Wilf is tempting, all three play in the same position. Part of me says forget Chadli or Oliviera and get Wilf in as the 3rd signing, but this is probably dreaming. The only way I could see it working is if Guido opts to play two up in a fair proportion of games and we can use Borja as a support striker to a target man with the other two alternating. I suppose you could say £13m for peace of mind - I couldn't see us getting relegated with those three.

I think man city saw our striker dilemma and thought we'd desperately throw money back at them for bony this summer, and now that it looks like we have 2 good strikers nailed down I think their lowering the price to get us sniffing again last minute. West Ham or Everton will surely be willing to pay 13 million for Bony.

He's on £100k a week. Anyone paying £13m for him would expect him to sign at at least a three year deal. That's an outlay of £28m for a player with his record plus injuries over the last 18 months? I've said it before, and i'll say it again. Unless he was prepared to take a cut in wages of 40/50% Man City will be lucky to get a transfer fee for him at all.

To be honest I was miffed when he left in the January window. If you want to move to a bigger club, fine, but at least wait until the end of the season. He jumped ship too soon and now look where he is. We have no need for him

Same fee as for Joey.
Difference is that Will can defend very well from set pieces and score at the other end.
Maybe that's the answer.
Bring Will back to replace Ash-can cover 2 important positions so meeting the brief of players being able to play in more than 1 area.

If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.

The lower price doesn't seem like coincidence to me. City were probably hoping to screw us for £16-18m, and the signing of Llorente has triggered a more realistic value.

well frankly i think it's exciting to see new faces and new possibilities with some of these players the club has/will have brought in.

no need to go back for the nostalgia factor. also, worth considering Wilf would have very little re-sell value. Borja, if he has a very good year or two could double or triple in value if the rumored fee of 8-10M is accurate.

And what is good Phaedrus, and what is not good. Need we ask anyone to tell us these things?

Allen is a much better investment. Younger and half the cost. I'd expect Allen to play a lot more games
At the top in the next 3 years.

Llorente Baston Olivier and mcBurnie are fundable on Bonys costs.

I'd save the money on Chadli too and keep on the look out for an Allen type player such as Cabaye.

We've doubled our money on Wilf once, signing him for £13M now would mean he's actually cost us no transfer fee outlay in his time with us. I don't really care about sell on values, just want to see someone banging in the goals regularly.

we won't sign Bony.

His wages are too high, and the reason for getting rid of Gomis and Ayew.

Plus Borja is having a medical tomorrow, signing Monday.

So the £8m signing on fee for Gomis doesn't come into that equation i take it? And neither does Wilf coming back on double the wages he was on previously despite(judging by performance/injuries) being half the player he was when he left? Ok, ye let's go for it!
