Thought we could all do with a bit of cheering up, so what little ditty would you pick as your exit song? The rebel in me would go for So What by the Anti Nowhere League, but I reckon I'd nick this one picked by my old man - raised a wee smile on a tough old day...

This! I was just scrolling through to see if anybody else had went for it so far. Great track to go out to. One of my Old Man's good friends passed recently and this was played at the end:
Following it up with JO £ Wild Willy Barretts 'Really Free' ?
Can't believe no one's offered a Smiths song yet, so I will -
'There is a light that never goes out' perfect combination of humour & sentimentality, whilst remaining uplifting.....(no idea how to post a link - sorry)

A track by social distortion called 'untitled'. 'I'm hearing down a lonely highway. ...'
Despite the help and patience of fellow posters, still can' t link it!

As a devoted narcissist I've been pondering on this for about 30 years, with the track list changing hundreds of times. Apparently one drunken night I told my missus that I wanted this--presumably because of the 'lay me down' chorus--and it seems to have stuck with her so I guess this is what it will be should I pop my clogs any time soon.

Haha worked out how to post OoChoob vids! So here it is. I can play the bass part to this as well edit: obviously I realise I wouldn't be able to do this if it's played at my funeral

No-one likes a show-off qpunkr.
I'm unique, not in what i can do, but what I can't.

You want tears ?
Was at a funeral a couple of years ago and everyone was ok, until they played this.
Everyone broke down including the Vicar. Still chokes me.
heard that a few weeks back at the funeral of a mate who died at the age of 33 from cancer, they saved this for the curtain closer at Ruislip crem; i'd almost held it together until that point and then lost it. trying to remember another tune that was played at the church that really 'worked' (what an inappropriate phrase but cant think of what else to say), gone blank, will ask one of the other attendees next week.
also had an elderly aunt that did the curtains to teh theme from Morecambe & Wise - 'Bring me sunshine' which did raise a smile

Wow, hats off to you lot, some of you have thought long and hard about this subject.
I haven't, but am leaning towards the first tune below because it's topical - and catchy - and the second because it has an excellent message - and also rocks:
In your real life Treat it like it's special In your real life Try to be more kind In your real life Think of those that love you In this real life Try to be less blind

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
