Hogan's Knee 23:18 - Mar 7 with 12455 views | Clivert | According to Steve Eyre's mate Ian Cheeseman on GMR on the way home it was Hogan's knee which was why he had to be subbed. Lets hope it's not too serious!

He wouldn't be able to walk if the ligament had snapped, but that didn't look likely. It'll almost certainly be twisted - how badly remains to be seen. It could settle down fairly quickly or take weeks.

You're talking utter shite PDIDDY Believe me, if you didn't have a cruciate ligament, you wouldn't be able to stand on that leg. if it's a complete tear then reconstruction has to take place. But then again, we all know you talk utter shite anyway. [Post edited 8 Mar 2014 0:04]

Yes. There are four ligaments and without any one of them your knee would wobble around like a car wheel with the nuts missing. Further, bones in your knee would start grating on each other, making it impossible to walk. I'd go back to your specialist and check exactly what happened. It must have been a partial tear which has mended but tightened the ligament, thus making it inoperable.

One reconstruction, another snap, no operation , simple

Not so simple, actually. The next step would be grafting of fibres from a similar type of joint to prevent the knee from being permanently unstable. You've been badly advised, and I still maintain your knee would be so unstable without one of the ligaments that your ability to walk would be severely impaired - in most cases almost impossible. Hogan's Knee on 00:25 - Mar 8 with 8003 views | Daley_Lama | I guess this all depends on how hard you are in the end. DIDDY wins. Regarding Hogan's knee, he had a scan, was evidently back at the ground by the final whistle and gave a "we will see tomorrow" comment to the GMR interviewer at 9:59 as they were going off air.

Erm... you don't decide who "wins" and it's not about winning , it's a about cold medical (orthopaedic) facts. Science, dear boy. [Post edited 8 Mar 2014 0:29]

Very unstable, better walking up hill than down, the reconstruction lasted 9 years until the second snap, but hogan can still walk if cruciate is snapped, that's all I said and I get jumped upon

Hogan's Knee on 00:32 - Mar 8 with 7946 views | Daley_Lama | No it's not, it's about who is the hardest as shown by the bury fans in the home end. They won that battle too, 20 fans kicked out because they were hard, we only had one kicked out that I saw. DIDS evidently walked when it was medically impossible. That's either down to big nuts or religion. I reckon it's the former. PS. This thread is like NHS Direct [Post edited 8 Mar 2014 0:32]

No-ones jumping on you, I was trying to establish whether the description of your injuries was just a load of crap. All I can say is you're lucky. I'd still be going back for a second opinion. It'll only get worse as the rest of the joint tries to compensate. Edit: some surgeons are capable of performing more advanced reconstruction techniques than others who may give you the impression there's nothing further that can be done.
