The 12th Man understands that talks to takeover Bristol Rovers are now at an advanced stage.
Its believed that another offer has been made to purchase the 11-acre site the fruit market is currently on. The plan by the new consortium is to build a 21,000 all-seater Stadium at the fruit market site that will include a hotel and other sporting facilities, as well as a car park.
Its believed that the new prospective owners have also already held talks with Bristol City Council over the plans for the site. The Al-Qadi family purchased Rovers In February 2016 and had hoped to build a new stadium for Rovers at the UWE site but after several attempts to complete the deal, it finally fail through.
It's understood the the Al-Qadi family have been actively looking for a buyer for over a year now.
It's understood that there will be an investment in the footballing side too.
