Omagh inquiry
at 14:53 29 Jan 2025

As per the above link a sister of one of the victims is reported as saying that she is expecting "a very diluted version of the truth".

There are people in this country, dare I say simple people that think a government inquiry will be the whole truth and nothing but the truth, lol, think on, mind you they think the same about court cases, if somebody is found not guilty they think they are 100% innocent of the crime and if they are guilty they think they 100% done the crime, more enlighten people know its not always the case.

Have we had a public inquiry into the Lockerbie disaster, no I thought not, our government up to their necks in shady actions over the event and don't want a public inquiry into all those deaths.

Even the families think its going to be a massive cover up, mi5, informants, Irish and UK government's all covering their involvement in events up, its obvious its going to be half truths, made up truths, diluted truths but not the whole truth, pity for the families but unfortunately its a murky shady world.

The Government want to be seen to be doing the right thing but no doubt the powers that be will do it in a chorgraphed way as not to show themselves in a bad light if they can.

It's about could we have prevented it, what did we know, did we chose not to act, I'm not convinced the truth will come out, the Government won't want to be seen as taking an active part in a dirty war.

I would have thought that Gerry A was on the ceasefire side at that particular point in time, the so called hardliners did not agree with him doing deals with the English led UK state, I'm sure he knows a lot but not so sure he would know about the ins and outs of that particular incident.

I don't think anyone has been done in a criminal court (that has stuck) but people might have been sued and found guilty in a civil court, think that might have happened.
I think this inquiry (if its going to fair and honest, is a big if) is about could it have been prevented rather than who did it, I might be wrong I'm only seeing something on the news about it now.
Who's spies knew what ?, who did the spies tell (if there was spies)?, was it not acted on to keep moles undercover ?
There again it might be a case of don't admit or don't deny if we had people on the inside or not, if that is going to be the attitude it would be a sham.

The Omagh bombing was a terrible atrocity but now finally after many years of the authorities seemingly avoiding having an inquiry there is going to be one, apparently to see if the atrocity could have been avoided.
Can any government be trusted to say the truth ?, will they not allow certain evidence, will they avoid having certain witnesses, will they blame another government , will they stick to their traditional neither admit or deny stance or will they throw one time employees under the bus.

Rangers fans fighting all over Manchester inside and outside the ground.
To think Celtic fans are in the main known for their good behaviour and then on the other hand God Save the Queen of England Rangers fans are known for their terrible behaviour.

I would still love to see them in the Premier league there are no teams in England with the passion and support of those two giants.

Commitment to Human Rights Act may mean IRA terrorists are paid damages
at 13:55 17 Jan 2025

The bottom line is the English/Brits/Loyalists/Unionists were the baddies, you can't go treating the indigenous population as second class citizens and expect no push back.

Jailing people without trial, you would expect that in a war......oh dear, they said it wasn't a war but acted like it was soldiers on the street, internment, curfews etc.
But the bad behaviour by the English types was well before jailing people without trial, it was no jobs, no votes for many, housing issues etc for the indigenous types, although the people in power, local government etc were the English types.

Can't be arsed to go looking for links for people on the net, but im sure I've seen it that the Irish Government hung far more IRA members than what the British did and the Irish authorities were also accused of scores of extra judicial killings of IRA members as well.

Oldham grooming gangs: Government blocks national inquiry
at 09:11 7 Jan 2025

The thing is people voting Labour for decades have been labelled far left, if you look at that site that plots where parties are on a right/left axis Labour are anything but left wing (and I call them out for that) but the Conservatives and Reform are bona fide right wing parties per the graph therefore if the cap fits and all that then they need to wear it.
