Sulemana . Let's get behind him.

Spot on grumps.

No Danny Rohl because Sports Republic didn’t want to pay commission allegedly.

No problem though, given that the Dell Pub is now able to serve greasy spoon breakfasts and I’ve been given the opportunity of buying a yellow away shirt I don’t want,at a knock down price, from a club shop that is hardly ever open.

All part of their long term plan to turn a once respected football club into a theme park.

Just checked opening hours for A F C Bournemouth, 09.00- 17.00 Monday to Friday and also open on non match day Saturday and Sundays with reduced hours. Obviously open on match days also.

They have an average home attendance of 11000 and ours is supposed to be 30000.

Another triumph for the doughnuts at Sports Republic.

What next, match day supporters bucket collection to pay Ankerson’s salary ?

Number 58, did you take the trouble to read my second contribution to the topic under discussion where I pointed out that in my opinion the desires of genuine Saints supporters and Sports Republic have become incompatible ? A fellow contributor summed it up well when he/she suggested that we want a football club and Sports Republic desire a Theme Park.

Within my second contribution you may also note that I attended my first Saints game in 1959 ( perhaps before you were born ? ) hence I’m not sure where you are coming from with your “ thick and thin comment”.

I’m happy to acknowledge your alternative view and take no personal offence whatsoever, after all that’s what freedom of speech is all about. However, given the high prevalence of mental illnesses nowadays perhaps upon reflection you may consider your “ wrist slasher “ reference to have been somewhat ill advised ?

Burnley and yesterday

You Sir deserve a medal, travelling a round trip of nearly 500 miles to watch Saturday’s dross.

If you do decide not to attend another home game this season please don’t feel bad about it.

Sometimes in life you have to step back from something you’ve become too close to and reconsider your options.

Spend the money saved on a ticket, travel and food on something you or your family actually enjoy.

A1079, like many of us who post on Nick’s site :-

“We haven’t lost Southampton Football Club, Sports Republic have lost us”.

If it were not possible to obtain a manager with Premier League experience what then stopped them obtaining Danny Rohl from Sheffield Wednesday ? A manager with Championship experience to attempt to guide us back to The Premiership next season.

Answers on a post card please to Sports Republic. My suggestion being that they would have had to pay compensation, so the man with no Premiership or Championship experience got the gig because he was free.

In my opinion Sports Republic couldn’t successfully run a bath or manage to get home on a dark night as is proven by their record of relegating a Premier League team twice in three seasons.

The point I was attempting to make was that Southampton Football Club and Sports Republic are basically incompatible.

Supporters of The Saints want a football club. Sports Republic want an entertainment business with a couple of football teams ( mens and ladies ) attached.

Every week nearly without fail I receive another email attempting to extract money from me. Play on the pitch, buy your Christmas Party in January, visit our Pub to watch the Super Bowl etc etc etc.

Whilst all their requests for money are going on we have one of the worst mens football teams I’ve seen since 1959 who were utterly pathetic against Burnley yesterday.

Ideally I wish Sport Republic would sell the club to a buyer who was interested in football or as I mentioned previously just bugger off.

No grumps, our club has one problem and one problem only, the doughnuts at Sports Republic.

Until they depart we will remain in free fall, probably into administration.

Two Premiership wins all season and another pathetic display today against a makeshift Burnley.

Sports Republic, as your only skill set appears to be building Fanszones and Pubs here’s an idea for you :-

Sell St Mary’s for property development, take the proceeds and bugger off.

At least then the fans could reconstitute a proper football club with the same objectives it had when originally formed in 1885, to play football and win matches.

I was in the crowd behind the goal into which he “ scored”.

Not one single Man Utd player complained. They were as surprised as were us all when it was disallowed.

Had the effort stood we would have led 1-0. It wasn’t and we went on to lose 2-0 if memory serves.

Take a look at the B B C Sports website which clearly shows four players in offside positions with the ball in flight.

We however are constantly told It’s human error, not total corruption. Yea,right.

Who Killed The Magic Of The FA Cup for Southampton
at 14:53 6 Feb 2025

Kingsland closed, approximately 7300 tickets still unsold and Burnley likely to bring less than Swansea did in the last round.

Sports Republic doing all they can to see if they can record an attendance figure less than the supposed 12200 who attended for the Swansea fixture.

Is there anything they can’t make a complete mess of ?

“he obviously has talent”, and that’s why the doughnuts at Sports Republic want to sell him.

It fits in with their long term view of our club as an entertainment business with a couple of football teams attached.

Dibbling on his way to Spurs ?
at 10:24 1 Feb 2025

Absolutely correct, only we won’t need “ top flight “ players for next season.

We will however need “ proven” players.

There is a difference.

What we don’t want is any more “ prospect “ players who may or may not come good in the 27/28 season.

For pity sake what is the matter with the doughnuts at Sports Republic ?

We finally get a prospect through the academy who is worth some decent money.

Cash in and use the money to buy some proven players to get us out of next season’s Championship is the sensible thing to do.No, Sports Republic think it a good idea to muddy the deal by taking on a Spurs reject.

Is there anything they can’t cock up ?

Spot on Pat, another triumph for our player recruitment team.

I can’t remember the exact date but didn’t they then decide it was a marvellous idea to
invest a further £10 million plus wages for Ross Stewart from Sunderland ?

A player who was carrying a long injury and in any event had never kicked a ball in top flight football.

You’ve got to sell a hell of a lot of insipid beer in Fanzone plastic glasses to make up for those examples of utter and complete ineptitude.
