Thread | Would a certain manager be quite happy to be sacked ?

Perhaps not so silly as it appears at first sight should that manager :-
1. Have had his contract recently extended thus with entitlement to a large severance payment.
2. Have recently had a team promoted to a top division at the first attempt giving him every opportunity of obtaining another similar appointment based on that record.
3. Have a complicated private life not best served by constant media glare.

He may not be able to play Martin’s tippy tappy nonsense and gets a lot of stick when asked to do so but he made some decent saves against Forest.
Perhaps it may be a good idea for Sports Republic to change our tippy tappy possession based style, keep McCarthy and instead of spending money on a replacement keeper spend it on a proper Centre Forward ? |

Genuine questions Sports Republic and Russell Martin:-
1. Diaz is 25 years old and despite only scoring 6 Premiership goals we sign him.Why?
2. Archer is 22 years old and despite only scoring 4 Premiership goals we sign him.Why?
3. Armstrong is 27 years old and despite only scoring 4 Premiership goals we give him a new contract. Why?
Surely it would have been better to put their transfer and wages cost together and to have bought a proper Centre Forward ? |
