Pre season matches are glorified training matches. I'd be a bit worried if it was all we were doing, but hot weather stuff against lower standard gives you more time to work on shapes and patterns, then trying to implement it against a higher standard when we get back broadly makes sense to me? |

Non fiction wise I'd recommend Money Men by Dan McCrum. It is genuinely staggering. Starts with some light fraud, ends with the FT's offices being bugged and one of the wildest sentences I've seen in print |

If I was a Scotland fan I'd be fuming with how they played. Their performance vs Germany would not be acceptable at non league level, let alone the Euros. They've gone out having amassed an xG of under 0.1 in 2 of their 3 games.
Contrast to how like Romania and Georgia have played, it's unacceptable imo |

From the report Clive has posted in this thread, Chair has admitted he did it, and that "T. suffered a skull fracture of 2 centimeters". So I've tried no one by social media, but what he's admitted doing, and what the outcome was.
I'd say we're picking and choosing what we want to believe cos he's good for us |

He's cracked a lad's skull open with a rock, and seemingly now admitted it. I'm not sure there's a context where I think that's really ok beyond life threatening. If he played for Chelsea, or indeed a player of lesser importance to us, we'd be less keen to find excuses |

Barton is so so so f**king stupid.
Most of these type of personalities know exactly where the line is and do a merry dance on it. He just ploughed straight in and started publicly accusing him of child abuse. He deserves absolutely everything he gets |

An email is a one to one communication. Barton's tweet had multi million impressions. He doxxed him, and made untrue allegations about him. It is a civil case, not a criminal one. These comparisons are not analogous or accurate |
