Thank you for your incredible work. We are lucky to have you. As another exile I rely on LFW to see what’s going on. And some is laugh out loud hilarious. |

Tactics were mints comment-catchup needed to whoever famously commented about Ally McLoud to the effect that “Ally thinks tactics are a new type of peppermint”. Great report though. I went that memorable game at Home Park. Good to see that the mutual love in that started that day endures. |

This is just brilliant-especially the battles with the M1 and taking 3 hours from Barnet to Tooting. We eventually gave up on Battersea, because you couldn’t actually get to it in a car any more-we moved to Islington. Saves 2 hours on a journey north. |

I remember that 1994 game so well. That 4th goal brought the (Rangers, anyway) house down. Was always one of my favourite away trips. There was a train back at 5.15 or so and a brisk walk to the station after the game would see you on to it. Back in London soon after 7. Not bad. |

They just need to make one law change (4 quarters, anyone?) and suddenly they aren’t playing football any more. It’s something else. FIFA/UEFA/FA couldn’t do anything. Hard on the players though. I think they still want to be in the Euros/WC. Where do they get the refs from? Actually there are enough comedians there. |

As a former season ticket holder I have to say that your reports are the next best thing to being at the game. Happy new year and keep up the good work. We are lucky to have you. |

Thank you for this wonderful report. I sat in Ellerslie for 27 years until recently. Watched this one on the telly at home and just jumped around the room when the goal went in. However, I'm still worried about now being in a competition where the object of the exercise is to be the 4th worst team. |

Can we please have hungry players and not has beens or never weres. This season was all about sorting out retirement packages for certain people-they know who they are!!! Can we also please have a Director of Football to keep Harry R on the straight and narrow. Why not David Pleat (only joking!)? Can we then ask our players to a) pass to our players rather than those of the opposition, b) work out how to take throw ins, c) work hard and d) do more shooting practice. |
| News Comment | Chris Kiwomya and Kenny Sansom’s screamer — history at 19:37:36
Happy days. That Sansom goal is one of my best ever footy memories. Will we ever do something like that again? I gave up my season ticket 3 years ago after 27 years because I just wasn't enjoying it any more. I need a reason to start again. Aiming to be the 4th worst team in the Premier League does not provide that reason. |
| News Comment | 25 years on the QPR roller coaster — Wembley, Francis and that night v Arsenal at 22:14:09
How well I remember that Cup game against Arsenal. Sansom's goal is one of my 5 best QPR memories ever. The others; 2-the 5-5 against Newcastle 3 the 6-0 against Chelsea 4 the 2-2 at Anfield to get us to Wembley (don't talk about that one though...) 5 the 4-1 against Tottenham (especially Wilkins's header) |
| News Comment | LFW Awaydays — Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace at 15:45:30
Pre Taylor report there was a standing enclosure at the front of the Arthur Wait stand. The front 15 rows or so in the stand have newer seats, which shows how big the enclosure used to be. I sat in the second row from the back once, and hardly saw a thing. I also sat there for that infamous 5-0 defeat by Wimbledon. That was one of the worst performances I have ever seen in nearly 30 years (only Vauxhall Motors beats it). I also remember the funny benches in the away end at Maine Road. I went to the away match there in 1986 on a supporters club special train which went all round the houses because of a train crash a few days before. As a Battersea resident I liked the bit about the Windsor Castle. It's probably the only option for seeing footy on TV within walking distance of the station. Can I also say how much I enjoy this site. It must take up a lot of your time. |
