We dont have different tactics or a different ethos. Jim wants us to play that way so he isn't going to change because we are playing Man Utd U21's - infact because they played the same way we did it was probably easier tonight. It was a very even game and could have gone either way - we had the best two chances with Dennis in the first half and Alfa fluffing his 1 on 1 with the keeper before Utd scored the winner. Not really bothered about the result although you never want to lose - at least fringe players got a decent run out.
Noticed on the clubs ticket page it says 'unreserved seating'. If the main stand and Pearl St are sold out would it not be wise for people to sit in their allocated seats? If not it could be bedlam - people coming in near ko time trying to find seats?
"Rubbish game, 2 low level performances from both teams". All well and good if it ends 0-0. When its that type of game and you still lose 2-0 well its a bit shit Jim.
Dont be baffled. The moans are when we play dumb football. Every fan wants us to have possession of the football - when we play with purpose and intelligence. The keeper playing the ball to a player facing our own goal with 2 opposition players ontop of him so he loses it and we concede is dumb. Playing the ball across our own 18 yard box to an opposition player and we concede is dumb. We can still score goals with 20,30 passes involved without playing dumb football.
Thank god for Rodney. Keep him fit and we are guaranteed play offs. Too patient a build up today - we really dont trouble opposition keepers enough despite having the majority of the ball in the 2nd half today. Rodney's shot was the keepers first save to make all half and in the 93rd minute thats just not good enough.
Burton train at St George's Park - thats a massive incentive for any coach/manager to want to join them. I really cant see Burton wanting to pay any sort of compensation to get Jim though.
