The 80s looking back was quite an interesting time for comedy. You had, what I suppose, was the last hurrah of the old music hall and working mens clubs like Cannon & Ball etc, but then the alternative comedy came along and blew it out the water. I loved Ben Elton, Alexei Sayle, Blackadder, and Who's Line Is It Anyway. Plus, the US imports of Rosanne and Cheers. |

Up there in the pantheon of greats, along with Little and Large, Cannon and Ball, Russ Abbott and Les Dennis. As a kid I thought they weren't funny, and 40 years later, watching that again, hasn't made me change my mind. Awful. |

Agree. How many of us on here were questioning giving contracts to 23/24 years like Charlie Owen etc who were never going to make it. I've criticised Nourry regarding transfers, but with regards to the player pathway it does feel more joined up as you pointed out with how many 16/17 year olds are already playing Development games. Fingers crossed a couple make the grade with us. |

Then, the club should have brought in another left back or not let Larkeche go out on loan. But, they chose the opposite. He's playing out of position, and he's not hiding like some previous loans. Is it ideal? No, but the club caused this problem, so we should support him. |

Going to ask a very stupid question here. Why doesn't MC just swap Dunne and Ashby? Seems a pretty obvious thing to do to my non expert eyes. |

Is three in a row possible? Will the Archibald Leach eleven fold in front of a resurgent Rangers? Will we continue to see Kolli-flower? Does Marti Cifuentes get better looking every time QPR wins? The Ancient Astronaut theorists say,'YES'! Again!! A difficult game away, but we are tough to break down. I'm going for a grinding 1-0 win (though a point would be fantastic). |

You've got to cut Ashby some slack. He's a right footer playing left back, same as Morrison, and we look lopsided because of it. As has been discussed on other threads, this is what happens when you only go into a season with one left back. |

MOtM for me today. Dominant in midfield second half, after an excellent game against Norwich and Watford. Said a few weeks that he is going to be the key player this season, we've not had anyone like him for years. |

If he was any good we'd be busting a gut to get him to sign a new contract. We spent the summer trying to offload him, says it all really. He'll be gone in the summer along with Cook, Colback, Anderson, Dunne and maybe Chair. All change. |

Going early, and looking to continue the good form Will Morse & Lewis be left stumped? Will Jeff Beck withstand being played twice in a week? Will we make it back to back home wins since God knows when? The Ancient Astronaut theorists again give a resounding YES!. The squad is as thin as Ariana Grande, but another hard-fought win will put meat on the bones of the Rangers recovery. 1-0. [Post edited 9 Dec 16:32]

Norwich came across as very entitled. I think they turned up expecting to steamroller us, clearly didn't happen. We were aggressive, niggling challenges, high energy press, giving verbal off the ball. Its the first time I've watched us at home this season and thought we looked like a horrible team to play against. |

Once again. Nourry has left us with only 2 strikers + a teenager he has (allegedly) fallen out with. Selling Dykes, but not replacing him just bizarre. 1 left back he told could leave despite loaning out the other. Said left back is now picking up injuries and out of form. The other is in Scotland. Bought in 2 right backs, 1 who can't dislodge a left footed centre back playing right back because he is pretty poor. The other right back is now playing emergency left back due to lack of cover. A lack of cover in midfield as realising the right back who had been signed was gash, they switched from Hayden to sign another right back. Signing of Madsen, who had been overlooked by every other Championship team who looked at him due to being 'too slow and weak for the Championship '. Guess what? He's too slow and weak. This bloke was signed for money we can barely afford. God help us if he is on a multi year deal. Injuries continue to mount, and MC has called this out on WLS. Our head of medical lives in Dubai or wherever. I'd pretty much say Nourry has a lot to answer for. Thankfully we still sing the managers name loud in the ground. |
