I’m just north of Builth. We used to park at the Boss brewery for free and have food and beer there. Now that has gone we’re planning on coming early, parking near the ground and walking into town. Any suggestions for away friendly pubs with food? We’re a mixed QPR /Swansea group |

Thanks. Weather is still bad. Not leaving the village anytime soon! |

So last night we got into a few problems when the weather was way more severe than forecast. Thankfully we were rescued after sliding sideways downhill by a late night Land Rover driver out playing who towed us home. When I got home I checked out snow chains. It's only the second time in over 30 years of living in Wales I've got caught out so a bit reluctant to lash out loads of cash. Prices are less than a tenner to more than 100!. But snow socks kept popping up as an alternative. Apparently wear out quick, but easy to fit and get you out of a problem. Loads cheaper. So, those of you into cars and stuff, any advice? Just to give you an idea of the level to pitch this at, I've got two cars. One is white with four wheels and the other is black with four wheels... |

You need to get a clean air certificate for your car. This is unique to your car and doesn't have an expiry date. I drove down to the Alps last summer and wasn't aware of it being checked at all. There are, however, a few stories online of French police targeting UK cars. It's more aimed at towns and cities, so that may be why we weren't checked. I only saw one or two others with these stickers in their windows at the tunnel but probably not worth the risk of not bothering. It's very cheap and if it doesn't arrive in time you can use the invoice instead. This may be an EU thing and not just France, so Belgium as well. You apply online but I cannot remember the address. It shouldn't be too difficult to find, but if you have problems the email address is contact@certificat-air.gouv.fr |

Whoever and whatever. We’re now proud owners of a signed QPR shirt. |

Not sure if you still post on here, but out of interest have you donated some QPR items to the charity auction in Caersws tonight? A couple of unlikely things have turned up that you wouldn't expect in a mid-Wales village. |

You can open a csv file in Excel and print it from there. You may have to import it first or it may ‘open with’ |

Thanks to everyone who contributed or came and chatted. Both R's and Owls put some cash in, and it all helps. Across the walk and yesterdays match nearly £100 was in the tin. A further £500+ online, so a great effort. Nice for my wife to discover football followers are actually quite nice! She did look very startled before the match when a group gave her a big UR's!! Thanks again. Great performance as well. |

On Saturday myself and my two sons will be at Hillsborough. This is on the way home from walking across England from the Lake District coast to the Yorkshire coast. We have done this, with my wife in memory of her father, the boys grandfather. He was a great walker, and upon retiring 20 years ago also did this walk. Three years ago he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. We already knew something was wrong. Cruelly for such an active man it took his legs first. He died earlier this year. We have carried a collecting tin and have a just giving page. I haven't put this up because I feel users of this site already give a lot to other requests. This is just to tell you that police / Sheff Weds permitting my wife will be somewhere near the away end with her tin. If you see her, it's genuine. Go and say hello and any loose change will be much appreciated. Thanks.Llan |

Joking aside, how will / can he deal with players who don't want to play friendlies in order to prolong their club careers? |

Couple of interesting comments from QPR supporters in the comments. I'd imagine Redknapp has made a note of this development... |

Have you tried putting this up on the Lonely Planet forum? You might have to ask their permission, but it's got over a million members. [Post edited 13 Oct 2017 9:55]

Last year (so maybe out of date) I had the same issue. I contacted the club and they said junior if he's 17 at the start of the season. |

Christchurch Rangers formed in 1882, so that's taken as our earliest date. I think it was convenient when we reached the cup final to say it was our centenary year. Previous to that I don't remember anyone saying we formed in 1882. Funnily enough they read out 1886 as our formation date at Preston on Saturday during their facts about the opposition bit at half time. |

I've got one Welsh son and one English son and it's all a bit of a nightmare really. Thankfully the Welsh son's school is showing the match and he's staying there with his mates, while the older English one is watching it here with me. This is worse than the rugby world cup. |

Gay Bikers on Acid saved the day when The Cult were awful at Birmingham Odean, Blaggers TTA and Credit to the Nation were both far better than the Manic Street Preachers at Wolverhampton, but it was when Richie was having his terminal meltdown, Thatcher on Acid played Blythe Power off the 'stage' at The Mermaid in Birmingham, and Culture Shock did the same at Bowes Lyon House in Stevenage. Always worth trying to be on time for the support act. |
