| Forum Thread | Players arriving at Loftus Road at 23:06 20 Jan 2023
Hi, Does anyone know what time QPR players usually arrive at Loftus Road? I’m taking my son to his 2nd ever game tomorrow and he wants to collect an autograph or two! Just wondering how early would it be best to hover round the entrance to try and see them come in… |
| Forum Thread | Some info I heard regarding next years kit (sauce is reliable) at 18:30 16 Dec 2015
So i've heard on good authority that next years kit won't be made by Nike. QPR have (allegedly) bought Nike out of the contract, reasons unknown. Nike are not particularly bothered by this as they never wanted it in the first place and was (allegedly) chased by TF. I spose that would make sense of the sh1 te kits. But if true, I wonder who our new kit supplier will be...... |
| Forum Thread | The Dismay around the change of manager..... at 13:00 4 Dec 2015
Sometimes this MB really amazes me, the negativity around the imminent appointment of JFH is unbelievable. I for one, have a little bit of optimism for once about this one. For all those calling for Warnock to be given the job full time. It was made clear from the outset that this was never gonna happen, don't forget this is a manager who had retired and made it clear numerous times that he want's an upstairs job. Yes he might have caught the bug back now, but what happens in mid feb when were playing rubbish away to Bolton and the fans all get on his back? Will he fancy it then? I'm not doubting the work he's done since he took charge, but tbh anyone could have done a better job than Ramsey (i was never happy with his appointment). What I'm saying is, lets get behind JFH. Let's not start with the usual doom and gloom. Some posters have already given him nicknames as if he's set up to fail FFS! Some will say this is Ferdinand on a mission, some will say this could be a Les Hoos masterstroke, others will just hope he fails to get on TF's case again. The way I see it, we have appointed an up and coming manager who has worked his "apprenticeship" in Belguim and then the lower leagues. THIS COULD BE REALLY GOOD! I can't remember the last time QPR poached another manager from a club that is doing well. Some of the managers I remember in my lifetime are ; Houston, Harford, Waddock, Dowie, Gregory, Di Canio, Magilton, Sousa, Hart, Hughes, Redkanpp, Holloway and Warnock. I mean come on??? Other than the last 3 (Redknapp because of Wembley) that is an awful list. So for me once again QPR are doing something new, which I'm going to go along with and will give him more than just this season to prove himself. Just look at what Gary Rowett has done at Birmingham and he started at Burton. There are positives here, so let's get behind him and the team. C'mon you f**king suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper |

Can anyone tell me what's happened to this kid? When we bought him I remember it being as a bit of a coup for the club as he was rated really highly up in Scotland. Is he injured? With our defence being as bad as it is, I'm surprised that he hasn't got near the 1st team squad. |
| Forum Thread | Austin or Vargas??? at 16:28 20 Oct 2014
Watching yesterdays game, I can't help thinking that it would have been a different result had Vargas had started instead of Austin. YES Austin and Zamora linked up well and caused problems, but I never felt as though either of them would/could nick a goal. Vargas coming on changed the concept of the game, our whole team lacks pace and he has it in abundance. For me Vargas has to be given a start against Villa, whether with Austin or for Austin. Thoughts????? |
| Forum Thread | Players to go/New Signings at 14:08 9 Apr 2013
It's fair to say that whether we like it or not, there's gonna be another load of wholesale changes in the summer. Players that we can't wait to get rid of and unfortunately players we wished we could keep (Remy). But we need to sort out the transfer policy of the club - already I've seen mentions of Kevin Phillips..... 4yrs ago I might have taken him. Yes he can make an impact off the bench but we already have a player like that in Andy Johnson, Who with his injury record and contract will be going no where in the summer. We DO need a bit of experience in the club, but that doesn't mean we go and sign 11 players who are 40+ coming to the end of there. So here is my list of players who i think will be leaving and REALISTIC players that we could replace them with....... Out Remy £8mil £60k p/w wages Taarabt £8-£10mil £40k Zamora £3pound if were lucky Samba £8-£10mil Green £2mil Cesar £5mil Green £2mil In Rasak (city) loan Pantilmon (city) loan Tomkins £4mil Alex Pearce £4mil Morrison (reading) £4mil? Ross McCormack £4m Jordan Rhodes £6mil £20k Charlie Austin £8mil £25-£30k p/w I would be more than happy if that list came in, and it would be one strong enough to challenge, youthful and full of goals. Please note they were not direct like for like swaps. So please dont say McCormack is no where near as good as Taarabt etc etc [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]
