We could always loan him to Goztepe? It seems to me that Trabsonzpor want him for next to nothing, lets call their bluff and say £10 million (or there about) or he stays with us and gets loaned out. I appreciate that its not his fault that Nathan Jones didn't last or that he doesn't fit Russels style but we can't afford to just give him away! |

Not only is he untried at PL level, he also likes to run at defenders from deep? Will he be allowed to do that under our system, around 80% of our passes are collected with back to goal. How many time did we play a ball for a winger to run onto, very few! We seem to sign wingers and try to turn them into wing backs, which is weird, considering an attacking FB would cost a lot less than a winger. Personally I would rather we kept our money on this one and put it towards ensuring we get O'Reily and A N other decent striker? |

good news will allow Sugawara to settle in but I think KWP will go, unless he signs a new contract soon. The only other thing of concern is the amount of wingers we are being connected with. ours biggest needs are CF and CM? Why do we keep buying promising young wingers when we have two of our own? Wingers that, under RM's system, don't really get to play as out & out wingers, due to the nature of possession based, risk adverse football. Sulemana is a great example of wasted talent and money, there is definitely a lot of ability but it's never been truly utilised. Lets spend a bit bigger where the need is the greatest up front and midfield centrally, bring back Fraser and utilise the wingers we have. |

From Brentford's perspective they potentially have a talented midfield player for free, signing on fee excluded. However he struggled for fitness for more than just one season and seemed to be unable to complete a run of games without a "rest" I liked him he was direct and offered something we didn't have going forward. I think Charley can resume that forward momentum given a bit of game time, tuition and learns the language. Good luck to Stuey but We March On. COYR |

Not a bad kit but it's not the kit it's the heart of the people in it! They could play in their vest and pants if it would give us 60 or more points, although I'm not sure I would buy a replica 😂😂 COYR |

Not for me, unless he takes a massive wage cut, and is he the main man or second fiddle to Ross Stewart, who everyone seems to have forgotten. Also with our system of play we need someone who can play with his back to goal and hold onto the ball & that's not Danny! |

Please don't let this be another season where we make plenty of signings but not where we need them. Get Downes in, or a player in the same mould. Another striker (not Ings) a CB & FB. Once we have filled the real need we can build on the peripheral! |

Lets be honest, if he stays he's not a regular starter and will play pretty much off the bench. Much as I like Stuey, I think it's probably better for both parties for him to move on! |

Probably our best defender over the course of the season & we certainly won't get what it'll cost to replace him. Stay please with a bit of a pay rise! |
![](/images/avatars/0.gif) | News Comment | Southampton V Leeds United The Wembley Play Off Final Verdict at 09:58:19
A great day & another indication that RM is growing as a manager tactically. All Leeds success has been based on a very high press and rapid attack when the ball has been won. All RM did today (and the last game against them) was sit a little deeper and let them have the ball. This meant that their midfield had to think about ways to get through our lines, other than dropping a ball behind us and they weren't good enough. That is a simple way of looking at it but basically is it. We kept the ball reasonably well when we had and everyone had to put a shift in. It's a lot more demanding physically when you are chasing the ball. Perfect game plan, perfectly executed. 10/10 for all of them. I have very much enjoyed this season and will miss some great away days but we need to be up there with the best. Will be a bumpy ride but we must stay behind them all the way. COYR |

Play Bree at LB, Fellows went past both Manning & Stephens with ease in the first leg. We have enough going forward to enable us to negate perhaps their best player? Also totally agree with the positive attitudes tonight, no booing or groaning just cheering please! COYR |
![](/images/avatars/0.gif) | News Comment | No Togetherness No Character No Fight at 12:32:35
We don't have the best squad in the division and I'm surprised you think we have? There's all probability that we have the biggest, which is I believe part of the problem. Trying to keep everyone happy has led to changes that were not necessarily tactical but for the spirit of the group. What we do have is far to many wingers, far to few central strikers, or full backs that can defend and no real leaders on the pitch. I'm pretty certain that was what Russel was alluding to, not Jack's footballing ability but his leadership. Not entirely certain that I agree with that but I do know, from being there, that Jack gives his all every time he plays, if only he could keep his concentration! Into the play offs we go COYR |

Can only assume that all those moaning about how bad the football is, haven't been watching us for the last few seasons? |
